yes i'm trying to switch to shield + spell instead of spell + sword because it seem's to have more synergy with the magic i'm using (restoration and destruction). Spells + 1 handed started to work really badly for me agianst the tough critters because spells want you to be as far away as possible while 1 handed requires you to be close (it was also a let down that wands were not affected by 1 handed and stink a bit in general). I guess with other magic then mine you can get close perhaps but not so much with destruction. Main reason though is simply that destruction, restoration and blocking seem the most fun perks to me. One and two handed perks are super boring (only improve stats basically) and alteration, illusion and conjuration are just boring magic to me (also with boring perks.). Destruction is most fun I think and restoration is also just great (with some fantastic perks like respite).
For the rest I'd wish I had done heavy armor instead of light and smithing instead of enchanting (enchanting stinks..) but that's not too bad. I always hate from RPG's that you find out halfway during playing how you should have assigned your perks/talents/skills from the start. At that time it's usually too late to change though. (I don't guess there is a tome of reassign perks?)
You can always use console commands to remove perks you don't want and add perks you do. As long as the net amount of perks stays the same, you aren't really "cheating."

No reassignment perks but there are console commands on pc.
However, we need to keep in mind that you have learned how you enjoy playing the game not how its meant to be played
Frost spells and one handed weapons are awesome because they drain stamina and slow the enemy so you can cast it and dance around behind them to do some pretty sick damage, especially at 100 sneak since the moment you crouch you count as being hidden for a short time and you get a 15-30x backstab attack. Ive only pulled it off against slow enemies but its great.
Or against dragons draining all their stamina lands them and they count as being staggered so its easy to run behind them and dual weild fury attack them

I can't wait to switch out my flame for a frost spell, just to make kiting easeier.
Btw, every creature I find that can cast a frost-over-time spell are the scariest, 'cause I can't block that spell, I can't kite from it (I can only try to stay really far away and stick with bow + summons + lydia) and the spell literally does more damage than I have health. Go hardest difficulty!

Need help Markrath main quest(?) + Show Spoiler +I still need evidence on Thalnor and Nepos I went and talked to Nepos who then attacked me with all his minions, I killed them all. Got the "Find Evidence on Nepos" cleared. Then tried to talk to Thalnor but somewhere in the middle of the discussion they all start fighting against me and eachother for some unknown reason. The game doesn't allow me to kill Thalnor and someone else. Also guards will attack me. Is it a bug or wtf is going on?

Yeah right... Dont even use companions in fallout/tes.
Just gold is also lame... I want epic loot, not a dragon soul which i cant use for a shout because only 2 shouts are useful, a gem and some gold:p

Does anyone know if two-handed damage applies to bows ? Since you use both hands to operate them ?

I see, what would those commands be? I just want to retrain a few perks here and there because I realized I like shields more then weapons to play with. I'd also like to change my enchanting to forging if it were possible. I'm not the type of player that will ever make a new character, I just hate redoing stuff in games even if that might be minimal in a game as huge as this.
As for frost + single handed weapons, yes it can work ok but I dislike the frost spells in skyrim so far. Ugliest animation of the three imo (fire best, then lightning) and you still get hit quite easily by units that got frost. Weapon + spells also seems to be quite unoptimal with some other things like taking effective equipment etc.

+ Show Spoiler +The two people that won't die are good guys. The rest are agents of the Forsworn that attempt to you kill and those other two. You've got to kill the Forsworn agents and not attack the other two, else you get a bounty and the guards come and kill you, or they try and kill you. After you've saved Thalnor and the other person, IIRC, you just talk to Thalnor again, and you continue from there.
I was confused as hell when it happened as well, because I couldn't work out if they were all attacking me or what, because I had my back turned when it went down. However, the Forsworn agents killed Thalnor's wife to "initiate" the whole thing and it turned into a messy brawl from there.

Has anyone tried making a stealth mage?
and are spellswords any good? What does everyone think of a spellsword werewolf?

Can anyone assist me in finding where I can go to pay off my debts? I was told after joining the dark brotherhood that the thieves guild had this option again, but none of the npcs there gave me the option?
Thanks

Well, I figured out that much but before I realized I had no saves close by and so I was stuck.
+ Show Spoiler +Luckily I just ran to Shrine of Talos and it was all okay.

I'm somewhat of a stealthy mage, in that, I dual wield destruction spells, and tend to sneak around a lot. It's quite good I suppose. A lot of the time though, I just took the sneaking as a method of staying alive as apart from random enchantments I've put every level-up into magicka, which makes me somewhat of a glass cannon I suppose.
It's hard to take more than 2 or 3 opponents at once, depending on what they are, as magicka is always a limiting factor which is kinda the major drawback of the whole thing and if they catch me, I usually end up dead. I tend to spend a lot of time running around reggening magicka more than I do attacking. However, having obtained the Archmage's Robes and something else that I can't remember the name of that increases magicka regen, I have like 200% or 175% regen rate which helps a lot.
Also, the destruction perk that makes dual-casted spells stagger opponents helps immensely as it means that you can just dual cast, wait till the stagger wears off, dual cast, wait till the stagger wears off, dual cast etc etc which helps maximise your magicka pool I suppose seeing as far as I know you don't regain magicka while casting... Which sucks.
Keep in mind that the difficulty that I use is the one just below Master or whatever it is, so things do a lot of damage anyway. I was forced to change to novice once though due to a horrible quick save that involved me getting killed the instant it loaded, but while on lower difficulty it was easy as hell, because nothing did as much damage.

and are spellswords any good? What does everyone think of a spellsword werewolf? i find sneak to be perfectly functional without putting perks it in it
the initial bow strike does 2x damage and bows are very slow but hit quite hard, so paired with a good poison it can get most battles off on the right foot
without any perks though, sneak is more useful for evading combat than initiating it, and furthermore spells don't get sneak attack bonuses
honestly though what i'm realizing is you can't just be pure mage - getting a few power attacks in while your magicka recharges is often a better than idea than using your sprint to run circles around them, unless they're strong enough to one-hit ko you

When you're dual spelling but the enemy gets closer, press 2, and keep fighting, but now you have shield on. When you want to go back to dual spell, press 1, and it should switch correctly - at least, it does for me.
OH. WAIT. SHIT. Just realized, when I've been saying "dual spell" I mean to say "dual powered spell" as in the same spell in both hands. So how about I define... "dual spell" = two different spells, "buffed spell" = one spell in both hands. And now I'm not sure what it is you're trying to do, because I'm an idiot -.-
I didn't understand that at all :>
