I find crafting rather bland in the game. Leveling through blacksmith is a bit cheesy and too fast. Overall I love the game though, a lot of depth and great atmosphere and scenery. Way better than Fallout 3.

Everything is running fine and looks good, EXCEPT for the shadows: they look absolutely disgusting and really spoil the whole graphics for me. I ve tried to change "shadow details" but they still look horrible. Do you have an idea how I can tackle that problem? My system: i7 2600k, geforce gtx 590, 8 gb ram. Try changing your settings to what's said in the description of the mod, I did so and it really made shadows better. http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=148

Nothing you can do unless you mess around with .ini file and shadow draw distance (as it is directly tied to shadow quality in 1 variable)

Check out the modding thread on TL: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=285686 The "Fix Shadows" thingy works probably as good as humanly possible before the construction kit is released. Edit: Also, if anyone played around with safe game managers for multiple characters, can you point me to one that works well and is easy/well to use? Would love to add one, but it's kinda a pain in the ass to find one that's solid. Edit 2: Also I'd love anyone who can come up with a solution for the memory issues atm. Safegame sizes seem to explode after a certain treshhold which results in lag and more lag for some people. =/

Random observations: - If they didn't go with Skyrim, Dragonspam would have been an acceptable name. - I have been killed by a polar bear more often than by any other creature in this game. Including dragons. - I appear to be Skyrim's horse whisperer. Anytime I fast-travel in the wilderness, some random horse shows up next to me, reading to be ridden (not stolen). I haven't bought a horse either, so this is fairly weird. - I actually find myself enjoying the game a bit more now that Lydia is dead. She could block a hallway with the best of them. - I noticed there is a bed inside my (Whiterun) home that's owned. Owned by who? Is the game anticipating trouble in my marriage, and a banishment of the husband our of the bedroom? - I want to punch Dragonreach's wizard in the mouth. A more irritating piece of voice acting I have never encountered. The cretin who keeps insinuating I don't get to the Cloud District too often is next in line. - Switching to cheaper arrows for dragon fights: a useful skill toi have. - The scarcity of metal veins is sort of grating. At this point, I've bought so many ingots I'm pretty sure I'm driving the prices up in Skyrim. - About the Stormcloack questline : + Show Spoiler + While the taking of Whiterun was rather fun at first, the filler capture missions got old rather fast. At the very least, they could have used a few variation (such as the one provided by the prison-break). Likewise, the assault on Solitude felt flat. Finally, I was rather disappointed (considering how reactive the world is overall) to see almost no reaction to the Empire's defeat. Vendored Ulfric's weapon. - And now the Gaulduur questline : + Show Spoiler + I was sort of miffed there was no way to enter Saarthal without joining the wizard's college. Not being a wizard, I resented having to rub shoulders with the nerds. The final fight of the questline was rather fun too. One thing that seemed missing was an explanation for why the brothers were made anathema (and who Gaulduur is, for that matter). Did I miss a book or note that explains this a bit? ... and assorted questions: - Is there a specific trigger that designates you as a target for assassination by the Dark Brotherhood? - Do we actually know whether the gear given to companions improves their abilities? Or is it purely cosmetic? - Is there a console command that would allow me to kill quests? I hate clutter and there are quite a few quests I have no intention of taking.

Time to restart and explore 100% of the game now will take more than 25/35hours! Any suggestion for my second char? Mage looks really fun! My first char didn't use any magic!

Let me also say this...I can understand why people preferred Morrowind. Because I do admit there was a serious difference between Obliv and Morro. But I don't see the difference (beyond superficialities) between Skyrim and Obliv.

The bed thing is a bug that happens to some people. Getting the bedroom package solves it apparently. People have speculated that it is due to the game assigning Lydia as the owner of that bed.

I read a few times of people enchanting massive amounts, like -95% cost for destruction spells across their gear, but when i disenchanted a -12% cost +50% regen thing, i can only enchant -1% cost and like +3% regen. Is it because of levels etc? what enchanting do i need? Im ~40 dest on this char since i rerolled recently after learning that perks were limited and i shouldnt throw them around into random shit like i was before

Now she just sits in my bedroom and stares at me, but the other bed is still owned.

Ahh, you guys are lucky, all the girls you date are still alive. I've lost all of them. PS. that girl dropped good loot. I want to marry that pretty bard in solitude. By Namira I swear she is either my bride or dinner, her choice.
