to me it seems like a "epic" quest with no value after beating it.
no multi-player or even coop ruins games, though my friends all told me to buy it.
The game is so incredibly long that you don't really need to replay it, however the built in replay potential is if you want to level a character differently (like mage or melee or stealthy, etc.)
The game is really quite amazing, however I am incredibly frustrated by the sheer number of bugs and glitches in the game. It feels almost as if the game was never play-tested or if the publisher rushed the game out the door before fixing a number of quest bugs (not to mention the retarded NPC AI). The most recent quest bug that's really irritating me right now is the one in the College of Magic where the dark elf chick casts a spell on you, except she missed me and hit the wall, so now i'm stuck at the quest and can't advance it because her spell won't ever wear off as she never applied it.

no multi-player or even coop ruins games, though my friends all told me to buy it. The game is incredibly long, so some people might not even want to replay it if they go for 100% completion, however, if you're like me and prefer to create characters that specialize in certain areas, I then replay the game as a different role, which drastically changes the way you approach a lot of situations.

I know I am not the only one in this situation as i've googled it and found people complaining on other forums but basically... Because I have finished the questline involving the prison in Markarth, I am unable to pay off any bounty I earn in that reach. This problem has just escalated as I keep needing to do quests in Markarth and thus have to slash my way through 10-20 guards every time I go back. Conclusion? 11,000 bounty in Markarth. Solution? Here's where I am hoping somebody can help/shed some light... Previously on exiting Markarth whilst being attacked by 3 Thalmor + numerous Guards + a Blood Dragon (yes, lol) I had an NPC of some kind approach me on the road - named either "Bounty Collector/Bounty Hunter". I had absolutely no clue what it was about and through googling I have discovered it seems to be some failsafe the dev's implemented for people in my situation, basically you pay this NPC and extortinate sum of gold and they clear your bounty. However, if they approach you and you have your weapon drawn, they will automatically attack and hit REALLY hard. So much so that it practically 2 shot me at the time, and since re-loading the save I cannot for the life of me get this guy to show up again. TL;DR Question. Does anybody know how to make the "Bounty Collector" appear? And/or, does anybody know what the bounty limit is you need to achieve before they will try to find you? I'm on the verge of quitting playing this game now, as it's completely ruining the experience/immersion of the quests when it won't fucking let me just pay it off. Grrrrr. Thanks Have you tried the console command for setting bounty? I've never used it myself but maybe you can solve the bug with that command
Sorry, I should have said in my post - playing on PS3.
There's another bug that's been confirmed on the Skyrim sub-reddit too. As soon as your save goes over 5mb in size, every time you save it'll keep increasing in file size and eventually the game starts to lag. The larger the save file, the quicker it takes before the lagging to occur, my save is at 8mb now and within 1 hour~ I have to restart the PS3 completely to resolve it.
@paschl - I did do that initially, but it just got to the point of sheer frustration where I nearly snapped my PS3 controller in two, so I just started a bloodbath to calm the rage I'm going to spend the rest of the night trying to get the bounty hunter on my ass again and see if that sorts it.

All Bethesda games are like that. It's not that they don't play test it- they do, the credits and BTS scenes attest to that, but think about it. You have a game world where a player can play in infinite amounts of ways, in a world where they can go anywhere at anytime and start any quest other than the main quest whenever they want. There's essentially an infinite amount of things that can be done and no testing team however large can catch all the bugs- it's the open world jank syndrome of any game, but multiplied a hundredfold because Bethesda's games are 10x larger and infinitely more open than, say, GTA.

Has anyone else noticed the similarities between Ulfric Stormcloak and Adolf Hitler?
I mean, sure, I guess many will notice the hating elves thing and that Nords are what a Nazi would call Aryan. But what really strikes me is as odd is the whole business with the White-Gold Concordat. That's the peace treaty signed between the Empire and the Thalmor that stamps out Talos worship. This is a big reason why Ulfric Stormcloak wants to rebel against the Empire. It's very similar to the Treaty of Versailles that was signed by Germany and put heavy restrictions upon the country. Hitler and many other Germans felt humiliated by this treaty, and Hitler was using these feelings to gain support for his rebellion.
Pretty interesting.

Got mage 38lvl master, and 32lvl thief dual wield... and I must say gap is so big that its safe to say dual wield sneak is OP big time... little effort and you can 1 shot almost anything on highest difficulty, maybe thats why playing mage was so fun and way more entertaining

Does ore you mine come back after a awhile, or is it gone forever?

Well, i play a dual wield axe orc wearing light armor (true role play berserker type) and i have a lot of difficulty to beat Dragons or Trolls, and when i pull 2 mages i instantly die. At the time, i'm getting one hand perks, and starting to gather light armor one too. I'm level 15.
I play on second hardest difficulty, and whenever i switch to normal mode, it's just laughable...
Is it normal or is my light armor warrior build not viable at all?...
Oh and berserker rage is so good it's unbelievable. I can go to any boss, freeze him with shout or stamina double hit, and smash him to death when it's on. And it's on 2nd hardest difficulty.

I did notice, although not so much hitler specifically. Though the whole casual racism and how it is noteworthy that it's essentially forcing out the other Jarls who aren't against the empire. It does bring a whole lot more *grey area* to which is the "right side" in the fight. You get to side with the racists or the religion oppressors.

Pretty interesting. Way to make me feel bad about playing a Nord and fighting for my people.

You over think this game -_-, I dont see concentration camp, gas chambers, and to be honest ideology is very different. Nazi tough their are master race, and anyone else should be destroyed, In Skyrim we got Ulfric that won throne in rightful duel but Imperium banish him to maintain tier influence in Skyrim, and Ulfric wants what was taken from him. Nazi was racism, and to join stormcloacks you dont have to be nord, you just have to fight for good of Skyrim... Imagine jew going to adolf hitler asking if he can join his ranks...

no multi-player or even coop ruins games, though my friends all told me to buy it. Not only is there some replay value to it (making multiple characters to go down different paths (ie being a murderer thief, being a mage, etc.) but good luck doing everything in the game.

Successful troll is successful. What's more interesting is that people are gullible enough to give credit to it.T_T
Where can I find those bloody elves and take their blood?

I believe now that the main quest is bugged beyond repair for me. I've tried every concievable console command and this is the result: + Show Spoiler +I completed a cornered rat via console! yay! but I can't get the next quest which was my original problem with a cornered rat, FUCK! Now I have an uncooperative esbern teleported to riverwood being absolutely useless. Why couldn't they have a command to start a quest? Or have the setstage command actually work? Fuck me sideways through a window I'm pissed, as now I probably can't progress further on my main character. FCUK
