So yeah
I take that elf guy from Riverwood with me and I send him home halfway through the first dungeon. Seems he died, and he sent me some money from his will (lol?) because I respected him or something in his girlfriend's quest. So I got a free like 600 gold right there. Saved up a bunch of shit, and just bought my way to 30 smithing in conjunction with making a bunch of leather straps. Burned all ~2500 gold total on getting smithing to 30 (which in turn gave me two levels) to get the two perks needed to make this badass armor.
I hope I won't regret this.
Am only Level 10 too! Had to buy the mats from the Skyforge guy

i love this game but i feel like im getting too burried in the amount of quests.... i have like 20 side quests stacked up, almost feels like too much.

is anyone else stuck on a quest where u have to sneak into a party? I was given the option to give some dude my gear so he would sneak it into for me, but i didn't give him anything because i was a little confused..now when i get to the party and am told to grab my gear there's nothing to grab and the quest wont go forward -.- im a little embarrassed...

Yeah i'm tempted to turn them all on at once but then i'll probably get so side tracked i'd never complete them so i just do one at a time even if it's not the most efficient.

I really like her otherwise, is there any way of switching the sound files? Because hearing that comment EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. TIME is unbearable.

i feel cheated that i chose a khajiit. my racials dont seem useful .. never used them lol.
after reading the other racials.. ugh..
Question :- what determines enchanting buff %? type of soul gem? item lvl? apart from the % to enchanting boost.

You wanna talk about useless racials? I'm a wood elf and apart from resist poison, I have a 'Command Animal' power that doesn't work on half the animals and controls an animal for 60 seconds, in a day. *sigh*

I just finished it.
Just reload a save, what you were supposed to do was any vital equipment you needed to fight, just give it to him. Its actually a pain fighting the + Show Spoiler + at the end without some pots though, or a decent+ Show Spoiler +

once you get the perk to invest in shops and also sell stolen goods to anyone you invest in, you literally have infinite money. its pretty awesome :DDD
if you invest just 500 gold in the riverwood trader, he INSTANTLY has 12000+ gold at his shop and will replenish that every other day or so. i haven't yet stumbled across someone else that is such a good investment yet, but i'm sure there are at least a few. at very least it always adds 500 gold to their total gold pool, which regenerates. combine that with being able to sell them stolen goods and you have a serious cash crop ROFL.

Gold income scales up with level, so by the time you're crafting Orcish plate to replace it, 2500 won't even seem like much. I think I spent like 6000 on my current set of Glass armor and weapons. Maybe 5 levels later I have 11k gold again.

I'm a bit torn about Skyrim so far, the overall gameplay is awesome but the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild quest lines sucked so hard it made me want to cry.
Just started the Mage Guild quest line, hoping that one will be better, don't see how it could be any worse.

Also, one of my companions just died. I let him fight 3 trolls by himself while I ran to the guards. The only fire thing I have is the first tier fire breath shout, so I couldn't help. It'd be cool if companions would run away with you if you're detected running from a battle. I'm sure they'll eventually make a mod for it though lol.

I've had 2 companions that died. Lydia, and that other chick with the plate armor. Got that witch girl from the Shrine of Azura and she's been ripping shit up for me, hope she doesn't die either.

Yeah lydia died for me. i was fighting some dude who had a big frost ad and a skeleton, i thought she couldn't die so i was just kiting the enemies. Finally won and realised she was dead, but it was so hard to kill them i just figured i didn't care. I can pick up companions from basically anywhere at the moment anyway. Fuck lydia.

item level doesn't have anything to do with it an glass shield gets the same % as a hide shield, outside of the soul gem your skill in enchanting and if you got perks determines it. Potions and armor that says % to enchanted items only works when you're using the armor so enchanting items while you're wearing speical armor makes no difference really.
as far as racial special being useless, Water Breathing – Can permanently breathe underwater, what's the point i haven't found an underwater dungeon yet that this becomes actually useful. I don't even know how you die underwater, i've spent long periods under water and never noticed anything outside when i surface heavy breathing

What? You have the single best racial in the game for barfights. Hell unarmed is better in the early game for you than even carrying a sword >.<
