Anyone tried a focused necromancer mage-ish type character?

Just get something to attack you or my favourite is those swinging blades. Take 2 hits -> heal, repeat for 20 mins.

A few questions if anyone can confirm:
1) Can the Black Azura Star capture any creature souls or just NPC
2) Can you soul trap your own summoned creatures?
3) which creatures count as grand souls?

Tried it, didn't seem to give any XP when just spamming.

I can't decide what do I want to play... I have 3 characters atm at around lvl 8 who are each one of them warrior or mage or thief. I have serious issues deciding what to play and what not... God dammit!
Hate that I have to repeat the story like three times also because my damn deciding problem TT

I think you have to be in combat for most spells to give you exp. Muffle and detect life would be reasonable exceptions though.

I kind of regret not going for stealth, those backstabs looks so badass.

Be everything. The only problem you run into is perks which can be reset through the console ^_^

My character is purely Destruction/Conjuration and it works pretty good, especially once you get the Thrall spells and never have to re-summon the damn Atronauchts again. If you prefer the zombies, you can resurrect them but need to get a body first. Once you have Dead Thrall though, it rocks. I had 2 Vampire pets for a while but I hear there are some sweet mages somewhere that you can kill and bring back and they summon Atronauchts themselves so it's like having 4 "pets" in 1. It's a lot of fun for me though the lack of insta-kill animations does suck (unless you use Draemora Lord pets, they have cool kill animations with their giant 2h Sword that sets enemies on fire).

Hate that I have to repeat the story like three times also because my damn deciding problem TT I recommend simply going mage. The long distance fighting makes it MUCH easier to defeat difficult enemies like dragons, trolls, giants, etc. Thief is good in the short run for making extra coin, but in the long run it seems weaker than the other two in straight up battles.
I'm focused heavily as a mage, and I can win fights that would normally be impossible by using the technique of destruction magic, turn and run, destruction magic, etc. You can beat very difficult enemies without even being touched.

Here is just a thought i bought the house in whiterun? the first city you would go to in normal progression pretty much and i found that it's the best place to store all my stuff in the chest inside the house becuase it's closest to me when i fast travel compared to other places so i found that pretty handy when i want to store something and not hold on to it forever.

The manor house in Solitude is much nicer i should check that out i mostly liked the whiterun house becuase i'm doing smithing and i often become over encumbered so short distance from blacksmith to chest became very useful esp if i use a shout i can close the gap just with that one shout, now i just realized how nice it was that it was pretty close to where you show up if you fast travel there.

1. human souls 2. no, not in this game. 3. not sure probably grand creatures like mammoth, giant, dragon, and not sure if there are any daedra lords in this game like oblivion.

yes. once you get the ability to summon two atronachs, two dremora lords are good...too good. as soon as one dies you can just summon another one again and you'll almost never be in danger unless the enemy has an expel/command dedra spell or if you have to wait for the ai to attack shit while it's stuck behind a pot XD

I've still found that i've accidentally hit her when she's down and killed her forcing me to reload saves.
