I just read an article that said they also picked up a top 10 1st round draft pick for 2012 and its protected. Which might be another factor, trying to prepare for the future when they lose the big 3.

They shouldn't be thinking about the future though. They're still in 'win-now' phase if you ask me, and trading away Perkins for Green really hurts them IMO.

That's not to say they still won't win -- they're still one of the best teams in the East, but I'd be more willing to take Miami over Boston now to win the East. Orlando and Chicago also become really tricky for Boston now.

I'd rather them had kept Perkins no doubt. When i saw the trade i almost knocked my tv off the stand. I still don't get it myself, thats just one thing that could help explain it. I would have never done that trade.

Semih Erden was a tremendous bargain for a backup player, too bad. I don't know much about Luke what's his name, but Semih seems much better in the long term, especially when second rounders rarely work out.
Shaq will continue to foul out in 20 minutes and be unable to stop people without fouling. Jermaine is a non-factor.

Perkins is young and would probably heal eventually, and he has an underrated offense with some nice baby hooks.

Houston getting a point guard with more potential, and Thabeet's a great deal for a guy near the end of his career, unless he goes Darko.

The replay showed the skin of the elbow of boozer touch bosh's nose and it took him about 2 seconds to realize he was hit and went down grabbing his head for a minute or two. omg. that was so funny.

seems like the all-star break did more harm than good to the bulls. they just aren't playing as well and there game is sloppy as hell. no defense for 6 quarters now. I hope it changes in the next half. need this win.

also deng looks like hes ran out of gas from all those 40+ mins game.

i agree with you a little Cyric on the OKC front but Sefalosha has guarded Kobe the majority of the time they play and he is a pretty underrated defender.

Ibaka has been playing PF for OKC lately and they have been okay, although I haven't really seen him play tbh. Plus they could put Collison in there as well now. Green seemed to never learn when to take a good shot though, and that was part of the reason they probably traded him, as citi.zen kind of pointed out. He is undersized for PF and doesn't have the game to be a SF. Plus he isn't very good at man to man defense and rebounding.

I really think Mohammed is a good backup as well, plus his contract expires this year. As a Laker fan, I think it makes them scarier but let's see how they play now.
