They might be screwed in the front court, and pau might eat them alive, but i still have faith in Timmy D to eat more minutes during the playoffs, and with 4 other people to give hard fouls they arent in as deep of a hole as it seems. Boston's back court of Allen/Rondo gave the Lakers a hard time and they managed. If the Lakers play good team defense as they are known to do when they give a shit it might be more even than we think.
Ah yes, who can forget that amazing Kobe defense against Rondo 6 feet away at all times : ))))))
Fact is the Spurs and the Celtics back court can't even compare.

Celts vs. Bulls in the ECF. shoot it down now, but don't be mad when it happens....

How much do people rate Artest's trade value? I'm sure he could be a decent contributor to some teams, but would anyone really want to give up that much for him?
|
he is about as untradable as calderon, the lakers wont be trading him this season unless they get an amazing deal for him, which they cant

Very low. At this point he's a special role player with limited offensive ability. Of the super contenders I don't think any of them actually need or want him. More likely a team like OKC/Utah that's a couple of defensive pieces away would be better suited to him.

I like Derrick Rose but this MVP talk is getting ridiculous. He's not MVP level at all but the media (as uninformed as they usually are) keep making a big deal of it. Chicago has been on the soft part of their schedule + have a very good defense. Luol Deng is still alive but they are making it out to be as if Rose is carrying this team with some amazing, out of this world MVP play.
Better players with worse teams have put up better numbers and done far more damage to the league. Rose isn't having a better season than Wade, Lebron, Dwight, Dirk, CP3 (hurt) even Kobe. Derrick Rose isn't even one of the top 10 players in the league. How is he worthy of being MVP even if the media keeps trying to convince us that this is a "weak MVP year" ?

not even top 10?
*thinking in no particular order* Lebron, Wade, Kobe, CP3, D-Will, Dirk, D-Howard, Pierce, Amare, _________.
i'd put D-Rose in that blank (which could consist of Rondo, Westbrook, K-Love, Griffin?, Gasol, etc.)

Um Kevin Durant? He is clearly the MVP, how can you leave him out of your list.
Last four games, 47 points vs Min, 40 points vs Was, 33 points vs MIA, 43 points vs NOH, yea, MVP.

If you're OKC or Utah though what to you give up for Artest (something that the Lakers would realistically take)? Keeping in mind Ron Ron is contracted till 2014 (and due 6.3 mill this year).

Blake, westbrook, duncan, horford, johnson in. Rest you can figure out. No news on Yao 2.0
|
Such a shame Aldridge didn't get picked; I think he's been so good this season and really deserved it.

I dont even know :/
@FQD you already know my stance but Rose isn't a top 10 player at all. You also left of KG and Pau Gasol in that list.

LeBron is fucking killing Orlando.
Damn.

I wonder where all those people that were saying Orlando would be a contender disappeared to?
