I just read an article saying Kobe has generally underperformed on Christmas Games today.
The article said the word phase "Christmas Games" a lot.
It was really annoying.
Social Justice is a fools errand. May all the adherents at its church be thwarted. Of all the religions I have come across, it is by far the most detestable.

Can't put a finger on Wade even when he gets a nice moving screen from Bosh to get into the paint. At least we have Ron Ron for comedy tonight.

The reaction will be: "The Heat are the greatest team of all time. They will win every game from here on out obviously because they have the three best players in the league and possibly of all time and they will win 6-7 championships just like Jesus James predicted."

Lakers still only have 1 win vs a team with a winning record (chicago) and they have the easiest schedule by far so far in the nba. Their shitty SOS is not just because they have 21 wins as dallas and denver are in the top 10 in SOS. Lakers are just not very good this year

Maybe Kobe underperforms on Christmas because they match them against good teams, as opposed to, say Toronto.

James had a good stat line, but most of his shots were outside shots, and he didn't drive enough. Yes Artest was on him most of the time, but if you're an MVP, you can't let Ron Artest turn you into a jumpshooter.

Silly goose. They've beaten TWO teams with winning records in Chicago and Portland ^^.

They have few wins against winning teams because they have played 25 games against team with losing records. Leaving SIX games against teams with winning records of which are listed below.

portland
denver
utah
chicago x2
miami

2-4 still isn't very good but the season is young. Either way, they are playing uninspired but the Lakers sleepwalk all the time. They will pick it up after this month once their rotations settle in a little bit more now that Bynum is back and Pau can have his minutes reduced.

The Lakers don't sleepwalk all the time. They actually play very good even against bad teams most of the time. They've just looked way below their usual regular season standards so far and it showed today. With the cake schedule they've had usually no one would say much. But when Dallas and San Antonio have played much tougher schedules and have better records then it's time to at least acknowledge LA can do better. First time in the Pau-Kobe dynasty LA has actually had LEGIT title competition in the West.

The third year of a threepeat always has the most duress in the regular season...this is nothing new. As long as Bynum is healthy (which is far from a given since he still has pain), they'll be fine in the playoffs.

Playing very good against bad teams is an awfully big oxymoron don't you think? I don't think those games are very indicative of their play at all. Also, to the point about "usual regular season standards", the Lakers have never had very spectacular regular seasons during their title runs in the Phil era. Other than a couple 60 win seasons, they are usually mid 50's in win totals and have had some truly awful stretches almost every single year. They started very hot last year and still only won 57 games. I've watched almost every single LA game over the past 4 years and this is nothing new for this current gen Lakers team just like it wasn't anything new for the Shaq/Kobe teams. They turn it up in the playoffs. That;s how it is, even if it's frustrating.

As for their west competition, the season is far too young to say what kind of competition they have in the west. I'll wait to see them play against Dallas and San Antonio before I pass judgment. I like their chances, given that SA has folded like a deck of cards to LA in the playoffs save for one year, and Dallas is always _allas in the playoffs.

so much for the christmas day showdown...

new york has really impressed me. at this rate they'll make the post season for the first time in years. though i still think, somehow, felton is overachieving (obviously because of d'antoni's sytem) and i doubt he can keep up the numbers he's putting up at the moment. but that's just mine.

How is playing very good against bad teams an oxymoron? Explain that please. It is indicative of their play and I'm not talking about just one isolated incident. Watching the Lakers this year they are not playing as well as they did up to this point last season. They do not look like the team that would just dominate the West as they always have. They have always had really, really good regular seasons so I don't know why you say they don't. The Lakers have been so dominant the last 3 years that their 57-25 records in 2 out of those 3 seasons look unbelievable. That's how good they can be - and they were first in the West every time. 57 wins is really, really good. I'm not saying they won't turn it up in the playoffs and I actually expect them to. What I am saying is with this easy of a schedule AND with 2 legit contenders in the West this year it's a good time to point out the Lakers are struggling when they shouldn't be. We can only give them the "they'll play better excuse" for so long.

As for their west competition, the season is far too young to say what kind of competition they have in the west. I'll wait to see them play against Dallas and San Antonio before I pass judgment. It's almost January, how is the season too young? Do we have to wait until game 50 to be able to say anything? The difference between this year and the last 3 years are that San Antonio is healthy and Dallas is playing defense. At this point last year I doubt anyone in the West was seen as a true contender. This is the first time in the Gasol era it has happened.

freelivestreams.com/nba and see if they have it somewhere on there.

He was pretty decent - good in Brown's system and the Knicks system fits his natural style well since he's a high pace kinda guy. But he's playing high minutes so I doubt he'll be able to do this all year.

I watched the Celtics/Magic and the Lakers/Heat game. The former was a slow grinding game that had its moments and the latter was just a stomping of Kobe. I was kinda sad that the Celtics lost, was rooting for them. Rooting for the Heat cus they are in the East and I want as many West teams to lose except the Rockets so we actually have a chance to get into the post season.

17-12, 7-7 home

Wait what? :D OKC is doing just fine, if i was a Knicks fan, id be pissed that they arent better than ATL, Orlando, and just barely better than the Bucks and Indiana. As an OKC fan, I would be happy that my team has a record close to LAL, and Utah, two formidable organizations compared to the East teams i mentioned. Winning at home against a West team should be a normal thing taking circadian rhythms into context.

I'm speaking about the East. People picked the Bobcats and the Bucks ahead of the Knicks.

Anyway, Knicks over the Bulls again, great Christmas for me.

Also, I wish I could get video of where Ron Ron gets a steal, then proceeds to dribble the ball off his knee and dive into the Heat bench in an attempt to save it.
