James had a good stat line, but most of his shots were outside shots, and he didn't drive enough. Yes Artest was on him most of the time, but if you're an MVP, you can't let Ron Artest turn you into a jumpshooter. | ||

I like their chances, given that SA has folded like a deck of cards to LA in the playoffs save for one year, and Dallas is always _allas in the playoffs. | ||

new york has really impressed me. at this rate they'll make the post season for the first time in years. though i still think, somehow, felton is overachieving (obviously because of d'antoni's sytem) and i doubt he can keep up the numbers he's putting up at the moment. but that's just mine. | ||

It is indicative of their play and I'm not talking about just one isolated incident. Watching the Lakers this year they are not playing as well as they did up to this point last season. They do not look like the team that would just dominate the West as they always have. They have always had really, really good regular seasons so I don't know why you say they don't. The Lakers have been so dominant the last 3 years that their 57-25 records in 2 out of those 3 seasons look unbelievable. That's how good they can be - and they were first in the West every time. 57 wins is really, really good. I'm not saying they won't turn it up in the playoffs and I actually expect them to. What I am saying is with this easy of a schedule AND with 2 legit contenders in the West this year it's a good time to point out the Lakers are struggling when they shouldn't be. It's almost January, how is the season too young? Do we have to wait until game 50 to be able to say anything? The difference between this year and the last 3 years are that San Antonio is healthy and Dallas is playing defense. At this point last year I doubt anyone in the West was seen as a true contender. He was pretty decent - good in Brown's system and the Knicks system fits his natural style well since he's a high pace kinda guy. But he's playing high minutes so I doubt he'll be able to do this all year. | ||

Winning at home against a West team should be a normal thing taking circadian rhythms into context. I'm speaking about the East. People picked the Bobcats and the Bucks ahead of the Knicks. Anyway, Knicks over the Bulls again, great Christmas for me. Also, I wish I could get video of where Ron Ron gets a steal, then proceeds to dribble the ball off his knee and dive into the Heat bench in an attempt to save it. | ||
