Anyone have any insight? Gonna be sad to see some of these cards go, took me a long ass time to find some of them, but oh well. Here's the outgoing collection for those interested Depends on how fast you want to convert that into money. Obv just selling it all to say SCG at buylist would be the fastest but not the most profitable and you'd take a big hit. You could try using sites like eBay to sell the big stuff by themselves for just a bit under SCG and retain most of the value. For the smaller items and junk rares, check if any of them are Eternal staple cards, since those will have some decent value and in bulk will add up quickly. Those can maybe also be sold by themselves. The remaining rest (the actual bulk junk stuff) you could probably just sell in bulk to SCG/CFB or something. If you could assemble a giant catalogue of everything you have on something like DeckBox you could quickly get a rough estimate of what everything is worth and whether there are any hidden gems in your bulk cards. It would also make things easier to track and sell. Depending on what you have, I'm sure even people here on TL might be interested in a few cards.

I told a few people I knew at the various card shops in my city, have received five emails today already. Oh btw, SCG has Jace TMS on sale now, but is normally 800 in mint foil. I got offered 1900 for the collection. ps all my cards are mint condition except for that one rootbound craig. Think that's a good price? It's about 70% of SCG value. Between all the EDH, standard and modern decks my friends and I have made, there's another 7 or 8 playsets of each of the dual lands.

Obviously, the prime cards (Jace, Liliana, Snaps, Foil Damnation Sweet!) would fetch full market value but you're trying to move all of it, so you have to leverage the sweet stuff for the value of the average stuff. Shop around, see if you can do a little negotiating, of course, but I think that's a solid number considering the list I saw. EDIT: Duh!! Buy or sell price?

For constructured, I think they pretty much hit all the interesting stuff early. there's a lot more stuff going on with heroic now, particularly in green, so white-green might be getting a serious leg up. There's also a bunch of new cheap conditional counters- two at one mana, and a 1U scry 1 force spike which seems reasonable in certain constructed matchups. The enchantment theme is also a bit more well rounded now- we have three or four kinds of 'trying to make enchantments useful' 1) bestow: can't be easily 2-for-1ed 2) cantrip cycle: weak effect, but don't put you in card disadvantage and still trigger heroic 3) ordeal cycle: permanent effect on the creature unless removed immediately, can't be combat trick-baited. 4) flash: can work as a combat trick to force a 2 for 2.

The big dump of spoilers that rounded things out was the MTGO theros beta going online. Unsure if that one was official, but it seems hard to believe they'd put out a full set beta and not anticipate those going public.

Creatures: 4 sylvan caryatid 3 Fleecemane lion 4 voice of resurgence 3 Loxodon smiter 4 boon satyr Spells: 4 savage summoning 4 advent of the wurm 4 selesyna charm 4 ready/willing It's basically a flash-creatures deck, with all the good stuff. The idea is to basically sit tight on your hand as much as possible until you can build a hand full of nastiness. Then throw out some flash creatures at EOT, forcing a response or catching them having committed mana. The ability to deny information and flash in blockers should make things tricky for your opponent, especially in creature mirrors where you can savage summoning a dude and win the mirror block.

IIRC you're allowed to divulge the contents of the set based on findings from the beta, you're just not allowed to stream the client or talk about bugs that come up. The no streaming rule is really silly, I've been trying to get them to reverse that for awhile. I think more people would be hyped for the prerelease if they could watch the set being drafted ahead of time.

While I feel the same way, I understand why they'd prefer to make it a fresh experience for everyone. It gives the people who don't follow everything madly more of an even footing and makes the event a bit more of a fun celebration of the new set's capabilities than a really competitive tourney event.
