And don't say play it on archipelago, because that's simply a win because the AI won't build a navy..... I've beaten it on Emperor as well though.

It seems like we've fallen in to a phase where most everyone (myself included) is busy, skipping, falling off the face of the earth, or whatever. Unfortunately, because we are at a lack of players because of the DLC-split (now resolved, but many people uninformed) I've been cautious to skip people in fear of having only 3 people trade off. In some ways, I might recommend that we start a new game. Now that we've had the game for a while, we've determined that quick is too fast for a succession, our difficulty is too easy (at least in my opinion) and people might be slacking on taking turns because it seems like it may be a chore. Maybe that's just me. Starting a new game would allow for a fresh round of sign-ups, telling everybody about the conversion tool, and allow us to get our game settings straight. In the meantime, if anyone wants to take a turn, whether you're next up or not, just make a post saying "Alright I'll do them right now, check back in ~2 hours for the report" and go for it. Being as that we're on quick, I bet we can wrap this trial game up pretty fast if we don't wait 2+ days between turns. I would at least say that Antilegend and others who have acted recently wait at least 2-3 turns before going again, unless nobody takes the reigns. Otherwise, let us go and be merry.

Without further ado, let us begin. I start again @ 140 turns. Almost Immediately discover Venice + Show Spoiler + and that make us 30 gold richer :D I am always a fans of maritime CS. With our Empire make 0 gold per turn, we need some more citizens quickly to work on alot of vacant already-improved titles. I decided to become ally with one more maritime CS. So which 3 maritime CS as our allies, they are now provide us +15 food@Liquidia and +9 food on every other cites + Show Spoiler + By turn 142, we have accumulated enough cultures for the next Social Policy. To my surprise, no one before me chose Patronage tree, so best choice for me was "Scientific Revolution" which net us 2 FREE TECH!!! + Show Spoiler + We have alot of tech filling that need to be done, but screw that. I'm gonna chose "Archaeology" and "Biology" + Show Spoiler + with Biology, we are now at the Industry Era, the 1st to do so in the world I believe Continue BrownBear's exploration to the east. We encounter alot of new civs. The first new one is no other than Ramesses II himself + Show Spoiler + I also inherit 2 settlers from BrowBear, so I settled one at the north tip of our continent, not a bad location except our Empire is getting stretch out too much. + Show Spoiler + Ladies&Gents Please welcome LYON!!! A few turns later. A GS was born is the capital which I kept for the next people to decide what to do which him. With one more great person born, I used the GA to begin a golden age since we desperately need some golds to maintain our relationship with the CS. + Show Spoiler + As people of Liquidia Empire live in happiness, the Chinese people arent that lucky. They are being taken out slowly but with a determined pace by the Persian. Wu Zetian wants a secrecy pact with us which I declined + Show Spoiler + Darius will soon be at our door after wiped out the Chinese As our exploration continue eastward. We found another 3 civs which are Rome + Show Spoiler + Iroquois + Show Spoiler + Greece + Show Spoiler + I also made a stupid mistake by moving one of the settlers to the east side of our Empire, I want to settle their because of the Oil resource...I got careless and let the Barbarian took our settlers ![]() + Show Spoiler + T_T poor poor settler but fear not we still got our Great General that I sent out with some units to do the rescue mission + Show Spoiler + yeah, been driving the Jeep since 1520 :D Looks like we also meet one of the great warmonger in Civ5 - the Japanese + Show Spoiler + We discovered a lot of new civs...This time its our turn to be discovered by someone else + Show Spoiler + meet Catherine - the sexiest leader in Civ5 By the end of my turn. Lyon has developed to size 6 which is very fast + Show Spoiler + We still got the Barbarian problem near Paris that need some attention. But I will leave that to the great leader of Liquidia + Show Spoiler + That's it :D. I am not so happy with my turns, made some mistake, and also gifted 2 units to city states which I totally should have kept. Things that need to do: Need to switch some titles or buy some forest land to build lumber mill on, so we can have at least one good production city. Now we have none. Need some military unit, since Darius will likely invade us in the near future. The save is here + Show Spoiler + http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6N37W43I

Here are some thoughts of mine: First of all, you mentioned the yield display being wrong. I think you were talking about something like this: ![]() I can correct the display on my system, by doing the following: - Press Y to disable the tile yield display - Load the save again - Press Y to enable the tile yield display Result looks like this: ![]() --- Next I noticed, we have a policy coming in the very next turn! ![]() I'm not really sure which one would be best for us, maybe someone else has an opinion on that. --- Also, we're getting another great scientist in 2 turns: ![]() Note: there's already sitting one in Liquidia ![]() I suggest staching them until we come across some techs which take longer than the current ones. Or maybe not, since we have to pay upkeep for them... -- Our "happiness bucket" is also quite full. ![]() At the current rate it would need ~20 turns to trigger a golden age. Maybe it would be worthwhile, to focus on speeding this up. One of our cities doesn't have a Collosseum yet, those are 4 pretty cheap happiness points. We could also hook up the sugar resource south west of Paris: ![]() We could trade for more luxuries, since Hiawatha, Darius and Catherine have some excess stuff lying around ![]() we could also make our next policy Humanism ![]() Anyways, maybe it would be better to delay the golden age and wait for some more cities, so they can benefit from it as well? --- I agree with Caphe, that if we want to build a space ship, we could need some more nice production sites. We have this place east of Liquidia. With some mines and lumbermills it should have a good production. This place also secures us some oil. Foodwise the city should be fine with all the maritime city state food coming in. ![]() --- About out next techs: The situation is currently like this: ![]() We should keep in mind, that we lose our +2 culture per city/turn once we discover Steam Power. So, it may be wise to avoid choosing that tech as long as possible. Eventually we will have to though. On the other hand, it would be nice to discover Electricity asap, since that will reveal Aluminium, a resource we need to have in order to build a space ship. --- About who's next to play his turns, Nokarot suggested the first person who can play somewhat immediatlish just claims the save, plays the turn and posts the report. Since I don't know if Caphe pmed anyone, I'll just pm the next three people on the roster. If the person wanting to play happens to be a player without the dlc, I've converted the save game, to save you some minutes (for some reason the conversion process takes really long). http://www.filedropper.com/teamliquidsuccession7converted

You can go to: Documents -> My Games -> Sid Meier's Civilization 5 -> UserSettings When in the document, change SkipIntroVideo from "0" to "1", save the file. Then try running the game again - note that it may take a while where your computer will seem unresponsive, this is totally normal.
