And I think grinding Firefight all day for that weekly challenge kinda throws off my multiplayer game, lol

My first console fps since Goldeneye -- it's a lot to get used to right now. I've been doing well in the matchmaking but I'm guessing I'm playing in the equivilant of bronze/silver league. :p GT: izlogic

I wish I could find more players like him that are willing to help scrubs like myself out at getting better. You really can't get better if you aren't playing good competition all the time. know Reach maps at ALL yet (as is likely shown by me not knowing if there are rocks on Cube). I could help you out. I was an MLG pro at Halo 3 before I quit so I'm decent at Reach. Add me: J3TTY and just say team liquid or something. On October 08 2010 00:21 SweeTLemonS[TPR] wrote: Not at all. Last night I had the gun timed perfectly. I was regularly five shotting people. BR was occasionally random because one or two of the bullets from the burst would miss. What I do not like about the DMR is that I haven't figured out how to fire cross-map successfully yet. Well, I'm mainly talking about close-mid range battles. If I slow down, I seem to lose to people that just spam the shots. The BR spread was only a problem long range, imo.

The three of us got into one of the Falcons on Spire, and our self-entitled brat of a teammate melee'd our Falcon a few times and got it so that it was smoking, just because he couldn't get in it. So we died pretty quickly and when I respawned I shot him a couple times with the DMR, and so he killed me with rockets and I booted his five-year-old ass. So his teammate betrayed me FIVE times, and I never got the option to boot him. lolwut? Isn't this being fixed in the patch coming out later this month? Coulda sworn that was in a recent Bungie weekly update, but I'm too lazy to check right now.

Yeah, I think they said they were going to go to the Halo 3 system of three betrayals, and you're out. I like the zero tolerance thing though. Even if you do get booted occasionally for accidental betrayals, it's nice to not have to deal with someone's BS if they're purposely killing you.

I mean I liked the stories in all of them, but I wasn't into Halo 2 or Halo 3's multiplayer and I know the OP said that this brought back Halo 1, but it seems a lot more complicated than Halo 1 and I'm not sure I'll like it, can someone honestly tell me that I'll like it and it's worth buying? Or should I just rent it for myself and find out? Just rent it. I'd have a hard time giving you an unbiased opinion. ![]()

I'm a person that HATES spending money, especially on games, and more so on things that are not worth my money. While I didn't spend a dime of new money on it, I was absolutely ready to after playing it for a couple of hours at a friend's house. I think that, if you liked Halo: CE, this one is worth the money. So far, I think it's the best one since then, and I loved Halo 2. The skill curve is definitely greater than it was in Halo 3 or even 2, because of the DMR shot timing (I think so, anyway). The maps are poor right now, but that'll get better as Bungie starts to incorporate community forge maps (like Damnation and Prisoner) into MP (which, btw, totally brings back CE feelings... Damnation is an almost perfect remake, there may be a few tricks that you can't do anymore that I was never aware of in the first place). The best bet is still to rent it first, if you can get it somewhere for less than Blockbuster charges (~$10 per rental), and play for a few hours to make sure for yourself. But I was not going to buy the game at all, this thread and my friends talking about it piqued my interest... then I played it for myself, and it's a really good game. Campaign is solid so far as well.
