The maps are poor right now, but that'll get better as Bungie starts to incorporate community forge maps (like Damnation and Prisoner) into MP (which, btw, totally brings back CE feelings... Damnation is an almost perfect remake, there may be a few tricks that you can't do anymore that I was never aware of in the first place). There's a new version of Salvation (aka Damnation) out, by the way (v3.2). Someone figured out how to fake H1 ladders in Forge. I dl'd the new version and it works exceptionally well. Salvation 3.2.

First they have to get Halo 3, then Halo ODST, and don't expect those to be released around the same time...Halo 3 may be next year or it might be 5 like all the others, but Halo ODST isn't going to follow that, it will take them a lot longer just because it's simply a different game than the past Halo's. I would say Halo: Reach will be around 2012, the day the world ends. (It's a joke, I have no idea, 2015 is a reasonable date...)

I highly doubt that Bungie will release ODST on PC. That game is a joke.

I don't think they'll release reach on PC personally, except to squeeze out the last dollars at the end of the game's life. The day reach is released on PC is the day that the PC platform overshadows the XBOX in terms of competition imo. Such a night and day skill difference if you've ever played halo classic on console and then on PC.
I hope I eat my words and they release it soon because I'd so buy it in 2 seconds.

People grabbing the sniper and jetpacking up there is ruining that map for me. I know MLG redid the map. My guess is that they did exactly that. That gays up the matches so hard. If you have a teammate who is good with that sniper, then you can pick off the jetpackers before they get up there though.
You can get up there without a jetpack but it's hard with > 1 dude shooting at you. But I haven't had too much of a problem with people up there if their teammates are bad.

Yeah, I always go up there without a jetpack on Infection >.>
And Hizzo, did you get your mic yet?

Halo on PC has always been quite bad, the problem is that the weapons are designed for console use, so the snipers and DMR are extremely overpowered. The only thing that keeps snipers from being OP in the console version is their lack of auto-aim in noscope mode. On PC they become ridiculous at any range.

I have to agree, Halo has always been the one and only FPS that i prefer on console over PC.

I'm sorry, I know SC2 is an RTS, just a typing error...

Been with halo for awhile now, H2/H3 vet, i just LOVE Reach!
Unfortunately i don't own an xbox 360, so i am stuck playing sc2 for most of my gaming entertainment lol. Roommate has one, so i'm on occasionally.

My thoughts on halo reach.
Halo reach was first halo game for me,i was kinda shocked at first it's been over 4 years since i last played fps game seriously. Halo multiplayer is mmm in my opinion kinda crappy :/ singleplayer is pretty short, but hey halo reach is mainly multiplayer funzies ;p
conclusion. i'm not saying halo reach is a bad game it may just take while to get use it to,as it's so much different than Cod series for example.

COD and Halo are completely different FPS so yeah, it'll be much harder to learn. Only a few weapons that can kill someone in Halo with one shot, while in COD, any gun can kill anyone with 1 shot to the head.

And Hizzo, did you get your mic yet? Got it today, but my controller has the disconnect issue so i haven't really been able to play at all. Working on getting a new one. Shame they're like $40.

I got a new one in June, and it cost $50. And the battery pack doesn't even fit right. I have to tape it on so that it doesn't come off -_-
|
I taped my battery pack on tight and even put brand new batteries in it and it was still happening. I heard somewhere that it could either be rumble that causes it or a loose wire that when tilted a certain way causes it. Needless to say I will be getting a wired controller if I have to replace this one because batteries are a PITA.
|
My first controller never had that problem. I had to replace it though because after so much use, the control sticks didn't return to their original positions after I let go. It really threw my Halo game off.
