DMR practice is pretty boring, tbh, but I think it's somewhat beneficial. It's better than playing FF if you don't have anyone to play customs or MM with (although, most people at the mlg forums think MM is a HUGE waste of time).

I can get the first four shots in just fine, but after their shields go down, I just get into a panic mode and can't aim anymore. I should take some drugs before I play to relax. If you aren't already, try doing some customs with a friend in an Octogon-inspired Forge map before going into MM.

Yeah, there are probably a bazillion Octagon maps out there by now. I found a few that are ok and saved 3 or 4 of them, each emphasizing a different range (mid-short, mid, mid-long, long), but I can't remember who the Forgers were at the moment. I'd have to fire up the Xbox to see. Try some of these. Also good to pick up one of these gametypes as well, though you can always put your own together, obviously.

New map pack November 30, for 800MS points (10USD). They look pretty, and I'm glad they're adding new Invasion maps. But I was kinda hoping that with Forge they could add community maps and never have to release another map pack >.> It says it'll also add 250 Gamerscore (great, more achievements). Hopefully it'll extend the level cap. I just hit Lt. Colonel Grade 3 today. Also, lol: http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/GameStats.aspx?gameid=224464943&player=Ferrose It started 27-0. And it's not like we ganged up either. Every fight was one on one. And he couldn't kill anyone. Poor guy had dicks for teammates who had to quit out when they started to lose. Edit: Forge contest!: http://www.bungie.net/news/content.aspx?type=topnews&link=Forgetacular We should make a TL map, with all of our combined genius.

Also.. they will continue releasing map packs.. forge has it's limitations, and while there are a lot of REALLY good maps(check out mlg forge forum) and probably forge hub idk if they have a reach section yet.. there just is a lot of stuff you can't control with forge (like lag on split screen and with certain objects/areas of forge world)

It was borderline evil. Edit: And yeah, they really need some maps better made for competition, like Arena.

Tempest is a remake of a Halo 2 map Relic, it appears. Breakpoint looks like Avalanche to me, which also sucked ass. It looks terrible, and I can't believe these fucking cocksuckers are already charging more money for a new game, which we all just paid $60 for (average)... the least they can do is make GOOD maps if they're going to do that bullshit.

I don't think that Tempest is Relic. The description said it had two symmetrical bases. And IIRC Relic didn't have that. But that aside, it's Bungie. I'm not surprised that they're doing this.

That structure in the center looks identical, the terrain is similar... it looks like relic with two real bases added. In other news, I played at a friend's house the other day, and left my fucking HDD there tonight. I was upset upon realization of this mistake.

I think it'd be interesting if they had that same structure in the center, with a base on either side.

I went out of the way to get me and my team assembly cause I thought for sure it would be on circuit.. still like that map. Midship was even more of a pain.. had to get rid of h3 disc etc just to get that silly odst multiplayer disc Like I said the new map pack sucks imo.. hopefully the new "forge template" sucks so that everyone uses forge world instead of whatever that map is called.. it looks like a huge btb map Idk why anyone would forge on it. It's not even that I don't like big team battle.. 8v8 was SO much fun in Halo 2.. it's just that bungies maps have gotten too big for 8v8.. yes maps can be too small for 8v8 like midship.. but Zanzibar, Waterworks and Headlong were so much fun.. I think Containment was decent, it and coagulation had long distances, but they seemed to work in halo 2. Idk if it's that I am impatient or just worried, but the large maps in Halo 3 and Reach are WAY too big, and focus way too much on open map fighting, kinda like coagulation.. if you remember Headlong and Waterworks and Zanzibar.. they were good cause they mixed sniping.. vehicle control.. close range combat... mid - range combat (when your in the structures/getting snipes/rockets).. all of those elements are important Halo Reach all of the maps are just these big huge open areas with a few little structures but no cover.. if they have a scorpion or whatever you lose..(scorpions weren't in BTB in halo 2. except for containment.. is it just me or are they ridiculous in Halo Reach/Halo 3) Anyways.. I just miss playing Big Team Battle in H2.. I had a lot of fun.. nothing really like that in these games.. the new map pack looks awful.. like I said, not gonna buy it.
