Get more friends and play MLG customs. That's what I'm trying to do.

It's a pretty good market strategy so I can't guarantee they won't do it.. I always had a good time on Assembly, but it's one of those maps I just never really played that much though.. seems to be a lot of those.. where Halo 2 maps I've played every single on of those hundreds of times..
I don't play this game already :p... I haven't really had the time.haven't been on since day after mlg v1 came out. me and my friend are waiting for MLG play list to come around to start grinding the play lists...
Team Arena... just didn't suit me.. I mean I like playing objective game types.. etc.. as well as slayer.. and the objective play list in "competitive" is horrible.. I mean.. tanks and mini wraiths etc..
also.. just not a fan of the random maps that are in team arena.. the first time a team went out of the map on zealot and camped I turned off my xbox and haven't been back on except to play some mlg customs with some friends.. but I just don't have enough good players to keep games going every day so I'm waiting for play list (I heard november/december.. their testing forge maps currently)
EDIT: the current mlg settings are ok.. but the settings/maps are going to be completely different for the first season, so I'm gonna continue playing LoL and CoH:O until i get my computer fixed.. then Im gonna SC2 ... then when KC gets done testing the forge maps :D... MLG play list time :D// I'll be on then
I've been trying to play Reach for a few weeks now. I beat the campaign, and hopped into multiplayer.
At most, I can play 2-3 games before I just have to stop. Not because I'm mad (I've won a majority of the games i've played), but because it's just so bad.
The DMR/Pistol/Sniper(?) "cadence" thing doesn't discourage spam shooting, unless at really long distances. I got the drop on someone at medium close range, i took slow careful shots. He turned shot at fast as possible, and got 5 lucky shots that all connected and killed me.
You can use the banshee to get on top of map geometry on one of the big team battle maps. Didn't they learn from the other games that this is NOT a good thing to have in a FPS? Note: I said map geometry, not buildings. Theres a difference between hopping on top of the random tiny tower sticking out from your base, and getting on top of the huge fucking rock in the center of that one map, where if anyone shoots you, you back up out of sight.
It's just....bad! They have yet to improve upon Halo 2, which was great, despite everyone really just wanting Halo:CE with online play.

I think that, had they given us that, it would still be the premiere console shooter.
anyone else hate this game? its like they sucked the life an soul out of halo and deployed gimicks after gimicks in hopes that i wont notice the terrible guns, maps, armor types or interface. i feel like halo is trying to copy cod by making load outs and then adds achievements in the form of armor custumization. its not all bad though, the editor is still good.. lol. Just need to put the editor into halo 3 and ill play again.
Tag is Reaper117. Reach is fine, but it's typical Bungie bull releasing so many terrible initial maps and playlists. It has so much potential though. After a few patches (hopefully fixing the terrible bloom system on the sniper and DMR to reduce spamming) and the release of the finalized MLG maps, Reach multiplayer will be enjoyable. As far as the campaign and Firefight go, each is probably more enjoyable at this point than the multiplayer, even if only for commendation grinding. There is an odd lag issue evident in firefight games though...anyone else notice that?

I'll add you later. And yes, firefight is laggy. I hate it. At least tomorrow they're getting rid of friendly fire on it though. That should make it actually playable.
And don't worry about the maps. Bungie is releasing a terrible looking map pack next month!
Jesus, AyeH and Hizzo embarrassed the shit out of my friend and me last night.
I swear I'm usually not THAT bad... Also, my friend is damn near impossible to play with at this point. He's played way too much CoD to come back and be useful in Halo. I say "dude, stop fucking rushing at them... why the fuck are you going over there?" (In any 2v2 situation)
"Uhh, because they have the lead, and they'll just sit there all day if we don't go at them."
"Dude, how about we wait for fucking sniper to respawn, and try to snipe them out of where they are instead?"
He has no response for that... it's fucking maddening playing with him. So we get stuck in these constant 2v1 situations because he's being a fucking retard and running at the team controlling the power weapons. CoD maybe you get away with that because it's a one to two shot kill, and if you have a RPD or something you can spray and pray people out of a hold, but that's not how shit works in this game, ESPECIALLY when the other team is controlling fucking rockets. The ONLY hope is to get take them out long distance, and regain control of their weapons in the majority of matches, or to sneak up on them. We got absolutely fucking wrecked on Battle Creek because of essentially what I'm describing here. It was constantly "Why the fuck are you over there?" or "Where the fuck are you?" Given that we were playing like shit anyway (aim was way off for most of the night), we couldn't afford to make mental mistakes at all, and the game was full of them.
AyeH and I lost a doubles game which I did not get remotely upset during, because he wasn't playing like a complete asshat, and I played pretty poorly in it anyway (I cannot play on Powerhouse to save my life).
That was one of the most frustrating nights of Halo I've ever had in my life. I've never been beaten like that before, except by actual pro players in Halo 2.
Also, I absolutely fucking hate the way the assist system works in this game. Any shots should count as an assist, imo. If I hit his shield once, and the player on my team wins by one shot, my one shot was absolutely vital to his survival, and his victory in the match. It's garbage that 4 shots = asisst in this game (I think you have to pop the shields, actually).
DrN0 ( a zero not an o.) up for any mlg games. Had enough of the armor lock spam shite.
We should organize a time for most of us to be on that way we would get to know each other better and actually be able to add everyone at the same time.

Going to respectfully disagree. Reach is going to overshadow 3 HARD. The guns are good, the maps need work but if they implement more user creations it will be excellent (and get rid of horrible game types - elite slayer, anyone?).
I will agree that they tried to appeal to the COD audience and I would have liked it better if they would have left powerups on the map (overshield, invis). Hopefully the MLG playlist will correct this and have sprint default with powerups on the maps. I also talked with AyeH about the MLG playlist and hope that they implement a 1-50 system in it instead of the dumb arena ranking system.
Overall it is good and it is only going to get better.
Actually, supposedly for an assist you have to deal 40% of the damage that it would take to kill someone. Which is fucking retarded. Just shooting one shot at a person helps to kill him. That's a goddamn assist.
I want to play with you guys sometime this week, because I haven't in a while. I haven't even played in the better part of a week, so I'll probably suck >.>
Oh yeah, tomorrow there's an update adding a Team Snipers and Infection playlist. And adding two community maps, Atom and Cliffhanger. And Arena Zealot is gonna be used for all Slayer stuff. Fuck normal Zealot.

You can walk up there, it's not very hard. The banshee is actually what balances it out because you can banshee bomb any campers up there for EZ kills.
