Do you have one of the Microsoft ones? They're extremely brittle. xD
And I added you, Zygote.

I did, but it's broken now.

I just ran through Atom on Forge. I do not like the weapon set. It has a few DMRs and Needle Rifles, and in the center is a Gravity Hammer (top mid), Grenade Launcher (bottom mid), Focus Rifle (on the bottom near the cliff face), and a Rocket Launcher (near that giant mancannon). Also, that mancannon causes you to take fall damage every time you use it. Lame.
I think Atom needs the dual snipers more than Cliffhanger does. Atom definitely has longer sightlines. All those rocks get in the way too much on Cliffhanger.

I have not seriously played a Halo game since Halo 1 on PC, apart from playing with friends casually from time to time. I've always been of the opinion that it is one of the most enjoyable and skill-based shooters available-- mostly due to the high health/shields allowing a skilled player to survive infinitely.
I say this because the gameplay video on this front page made me secure an Xbox 360 exclusively for Halo: Reach. Something about the armor abilities and removal of duel-wielding made me sure that this was a game I would love. A game that rewarded thinking as much as good aim (which, as someone who hasn't played console games since like n64, I find really easy. Can already rock the 5 shot kills with DMR and such very consistently).
And I do. I absolutely love it. Working on getting rated for arena, consistently pwning in the other modes, loving the grind of challenges and getting gear. Wow.
Can't wait for the Razer Onza to come out so I can use my headset though. Ugh.

I had never heard of the Onza before just now, but it seems MLG has, and they've already banned it.
|
Why would they ban a headset?
|
|
|
Oh. I guess that makes sense why they would ban it.
That might explain the kids on CoD who can fire semi-automatic weapons like they're light machine guns.

That is exactly why, yeah. They either mod their controller, or they use a controller with a turbo/rapid fire button. It's really lame, but what can you do?
|
You can be like Halo and cap the fire rate of semi-automatic weapons. :D
|
The Razer Onza has a regular headphone/headset jack unless I'm mistaken. That's all I meant.
For the record, MLG banned it because the controller is more easily moddable, slightly, than the default one, and they dont want to check every single one for hacks. By default, it offers no cheat/hax/advantage/rapidfire/etc.

It raises your control sticks?
|
it basically just attached onto your original sticks. i don't know if it helps, i like to think it does. :D

You know, I think I like Atom.
Cliffhanger is meh though.

Apparently Bungie isn't going to increase the level cap until the community as a whole completes 117 million challenges. -_-
Just increase it now.

lol that's funny...
the new maps in MM are silly, it's actually sad they are better than some of the maps that came with release, bungie needs to learn that forge does not give them an excuse to release untested, quickly done forge maps for us to play on, Bungie needs to start adding the popular community maps , there are tons on MLG forge forums....(they have the rights to them anyways). Whatever happened to them actually putting effort into map design/creation =/, not even getting their next map pack it looks awful as well

Their awesome ploy is to release a game with terrible maps and so few its rather sickening, then release map packs every so often and make them required for certain playlists. I will forever hate pay-per-DLC. Is it too much to release a finished game?

Not when you can make millions more selling shitty map packs.
