It's a balanced map as far as weapons, but the map is too large... most maps feel too large for me on Reach.
Also, about your forge map =/, I have no clue, since I am the worst forger. I suggest just messing around with forge for awhile, make random things, then work on your map after you got it figured out.. The best thing about forge world is you can make a good map without all those little tricks and glitches you needed in Halo 3, so after a little bit of messing with the different objects, etc you should be able to make that map, it seems simple enough
Yeah, I'm retarded on Forge. xD
I was trying to get a map with a lot of crossmap DMR fights. I figured I'd put the island on to spice things up, but Idk. After I finish I'm gonna try to get a few of us to balance test D:
I'm absolutely done with MM until an MLG play list comes out. I am SO sick of faggy kids flying off with a jet pack, or armor locking. The jet pack is especially bad, because I always get caught in a situation where there's two of them, I get the jet packing fag to one shot, and he flies away while his friend shoots me, and he shoots down on me.
It's so gay. I hate bungie with all my heart for including armor abilities in this game.

Were you on Arena?
They either need and MLG playlist, or some "hardcore" playlist similar to MLG, where it's just sprint or something.
Yeah, I was playing Arena for like 2-3 hours. Firstly, I'm having another bad night... idk if I'm inconsistent, or the level of players I'm playing are that far apart... and then I have to deal with gay-ass armor abilities. I'm done with that bullshit.

It's just dumb that Arena is supposed to be competitive and about skill, and they have things like pussy-ass Armor Lock and the jet pack. I'd be cool with it in unranked Team Slayer, but Arena should just be DMR start, default Sprint, and no motion sensor.
I can take or leave the motion sensor, personally. I prefer no radar, but it's whatever to me.
They should add game variants too, like flag and ball... Blah.
I wish they'd add a game type like Bombing Run from UT2k3. I loved that so much... for those who haven't played. There was a single ball on the map, and you'd pass it around between team mates, and try to score a goal with it. If you jumped into the goal it was worth 7 points, a shot into the goal was worth 3 points.

I'm talking about the map pack, not the maps that were just released, those are free so I don't really see how you can be mad about them.
In what world is a game I paid $60 for free? I already paid them a lot of money for their game. I'd like for it to be of high quality immediately. Instead they push out a bunch of bullshit, and then release another set of shitty maps and force people to buy them for another $10.
That is the worst argument I've seen in my life. "You paid for a game that is sold for it's multiplayer... I don't know how you can be mad that you didn't get a product you're satisfied with." Terrible argument.
I never said you shouldn't complain about not being satisfied about a game you payed for, I'm saying that if the reason you're not satisfied is that there isn't enough maps, then you shouldn't complain about them releasing 2 new free maps. You can complain all you want about the quality of maps or that you have to pay for the map pack.

I don't count Bungie's forge maps as maps, if we count forge maps as "maps" we have thousands upon thousands of bad ones.. there are some good ones however.
I wish bungie would add a lot of the maps from MLG forging community in to the play lists(I'm sure there are some good ones from outside of that forging community, but I haven't been paying attention, is there a Forge Hub for Reach yet? that site had some cool stuff... they also need to , cut armor abilities, and add a "objective arena" play list... bungie has the rights to all maps created on forge as far as I know, so they can do it without even asking... :D, this would make me happy until MLG playlist, and it doesn't seem that hard to pull off.. I doubt it's going to happen though

I am so bad at this game... it's not even funny. : (

I don't ever see Objective Arena. Since the way the Rating system for Arena works only for Slayer. If they want Objective Arena, it'd have to bring back the 1-50 level system. And because of that, I think MLG will be unraked, unless they make "MLG Team Slayer" and "MLG Objective" as separate playists.

I'm actually really upset with the removal of radar. I'm a PC gamer who absolutely dominate any FPS I touch, and on consoles I'm far, far better than I deserve considering I never touch the things.
The radar, on a console FPS, makes sense to me like auto-aim does. Obviously the world would be better off without it-- but we're trying to bring the medium to the unwashed masses on big TVs using a crappy input device. So we have auto-aim, radar, and the other million things that make gameplay more tolerable when using Fisher Price My First Gaming PC 360.
That being said, I'd be curious to see how much bad players benefit from radar. I don't know how much it actually helps me, as I'm constantly looking around. Whenever I watch friends play games I get upset because its like... whats in that corner... you have not once looked in that particular corner... and in my own replays I don't see this fault. So perhaps I'll do better without it. I also think it'll make REALLY GOOD players able to do a better job at killing more than 1 scrub at a time, as their team will actually have to look around to find where the assailant is. So I guess, while I start off this post saying how against it I am, I am fairly open minded and will have to see.
Taking invisibility out just makes sense. It's always just kinda felt silly and I can't put my finger on why. With narrowing it down to 4 abilities, I hope MLG decides to just allow 1 player per ability and we can have some interesting Team Play rather than cutting the heart of Reach out.
I'm surprised to see people here complaining about the armor abilities. Its almost like they're too balanced-- taking armor lock leaves you without any type of mobility and its useless in a 1v1 fight or if your opponent also has armor lock and is smart enough to just armor lock next to you afterward.
Honestly, I love the armor abilities. You really need to use them right to make them effective. For instance, armor lock is very effective if you have good timing even in 1v1. You can faze in and out of armor lock for a split second if the opponent comes in for a melee, the fazing out part of the armor lock downs the opponent's shield and stuns them, making them ripe for a melee. However, these tricks are hard to pull off all the time. And sure, people CAN abuse armor lock abilities, but if Halo Reach did not have armor abilities, it would've been Halo 2 with new guns and decent maps. Also, jetpack makes you a floating target. I find it a lot easier to hit people in the air (except for when I'm zoomed in with the sniper). I like how MLG is making it where you have to pick up armor abilities other than sprint. Most of the armor abilities have their pros/cons (I can't thin of any cons for sprint/evade). Armor abilities make this game way more fun. It's awesome seeing a spartan/elite go into armor lock...
In response to Ndugu, radar is only removed in Pro settings and MLG. I like that it is removed. It makes you be a lot more weary of your surroundings. You have to watch your back all the time, even if you have teammates following you. Removal of radar makes it much more challenging!

That is one thing Bungie does really good and thats balance. No weapon is OP, The rocket only has 4 shots so its not a problem. Invisible sniping is the only thing that need to change.
Armor lock is OP, and should be removed from the game. If you aren't good enough to beat a player in a DMR battle, then you lose. AL just makes the game gimmicky, imo. So does the almost unlimited invisible usage.
I found out this weekend that I'm REALLY bad at this game...

I think they should leave Armor Lock in, but only for BTB. Besides Rockets or a vehicle of your own, it's pretty much the only defense from being splattered. Though, Evade is just as good for avoiding that.
