How hard is it to get the best gear? I heard somewhere it is not as easy as in gw1. You have to do some grinding (some says it's about 100hours).
i'm not exactly sure how hard it is but seeing how arenanet is following the same trends as in gw1 when concerning loot I believe that it will be fairly difficult to find top end gear. People usually just relied on stat specific gear and special to get through certain parts of the game in gw1. It's. not like in wow where u would need top of the line gear just to get through a boss that basically stands as a gear checker. I predict that PvE will be more about builds and execution rather than how much power u have. That said gw2 might take d3-esque item route or perhaps arenanet has something epic in mind. I still haven't found any information on mystic gear yet so we can only speculate.
GW2 is almost like the ultimate achievement mmorpg of this era. When u get your hands onto a legendary, prestige is well deserved. Just like obsidian armor in GW.
Well looks like we rolled the newest servers in WvW. Was fun last night attacking Reds borderlands forcing them to split their forces from eternal battlegrounds.
WvWvW queues are incredibly irritating. I queue up 5 minutes before the rest of my guild, they get in instantly and after 2 hours of re-queueing and waiting i'm still waiting. I don't get it.

My bet is on 2 weeks or as soon as mid september.
Just a little heads up, don't bother storing copper right now, some of you probably suffer from the what-I-mine-is-free syndrome - EVE players assemble - so as long as you have the 250 units in your collection, you should be fine to start crafting easily. Copper at 20 c/u isn't going to last very long, I'd give it a month tops unless there is a constant influx of new players through the month. And since in the long term you won't need copper (because >20 lvl are not using it or in very little quantity) you better sell it now and invest that money on something else.
Also I think they moved some of the copper rich vein in today's patch but I can't be sure. Do anyone noticed that the rich vein near exterminatus in ashford isn't there anymore ?

Had to happen in the middle of a dungeon lol.
Oh, glad I wasn't the only one
Two questions meanwhile: At what level and how does one enter WvWvW? How do I close the email authorization deal to login?
Any time you want. You'll lose 1v1's to people who have highlevel gear and traits, but that's not the point of wvw anyways.
The authorization has sent a mail to the adress you associated the gw2 account with that you need to follow and accept the IP or whatever so that you can login.

Only way for them to gain access to your account is for them to have both your account name and password, along with your email adress and your emails password. That way they can click on the email Arenanet sent you allowing them to access your account from a different IP address from where they attempted access from.
I've gotten 2 emails alerting me to different IPs trying to gain access to me (miami & china) and I've cleaned my computer twice and hoping I've gotten w/e started this in the first place. But ya they don't know my email password atm therefore they can't access my account unless they use the same IP address from inside my home lol.
Last week I once was dc'd with the popup that a wrong password was entered. I got real fucking nervous and instantly spammed to log back in, which worked and nothing had changed in the 30 seconds i was offline. Then I instantly redid my email and gw2 passwords to random gibberish.
Seems there are a lot of faggotry sorrounding gw2 in terms of hacking accounts.

I played WoW averaging around 5 hours for over 5 years, but quit due to game evolving into a mega easy game with dumbed down PvP and PvM. Any feedbacks for me?
I also guess there's quite a bunch of people who're happy with the game and don't have the urge to say anything in this thread. I'd say there are more people who are happy and don't say anything than those that are unhappy and complain here.
i for one am quite satisfied with the game so far level 30 mesmer right now and i would even say that this is the best mmo experience i've had, coming off of WoW burning crusade/lich king and a few other mmo's
I'm in love with the fact that I can just enter sPvP and not have to worry about being behind in gear or levels. This is the best thing ever. I doubt i'll ever touch WvWvW where there is a gear advantage though.

I had my runescape account hacked for like a minute, but that was when I was an ignorant 8th grader (2001). That's how old that damn game is. Someone had actually guessed my password or brute strengthed it. After I changed my password, no more problems. Never been hacked since.

It's not massive difference. You wont even notice to be honest I can't tell who has great gear and who doesn't since you rarely get into 1v1. I just have fun in there. In my opinion the only thing I think makes a huge difference in WvWvW is the 6th slot Elite skill. Earlier levels you don't have access to all of them and it makes a difference.
The funniest thing about WvW so far is when I cast a stun on some guy who didn't pay attention to the enemy lines and all his team has retreated then you just watch everybody just roll the guy lol. Its crazy how everyone quickly recognizes the guy that is Chilled,Crippled, or Stunned lmao.

Damn bugs. -.-
lol the mount maelstrom volcano boss? that happened to me too. when the boss got dragged up a hill and went to submerge, it glitched and just stayed invulnerable
