Your problem with it has nothing to do with Guild Wars 2.

Glyph of Elemental combined with Glyph of lesser elemental make staff Elementalist play much better in my opinion.

Necro: Does not feel very Necroish... I don't see myself playing around with my own lifeforce and the enemies or really cursing and doing "dead"-stuff.. I see myself "spamming" spells/abilities just like any other ranged-wpn-setup class in this gamea with some monster/undead-skinned pets which also could just be reskinned as elementals or whatever else whiteout anyone thinking even for a sec that this does not fit with their abilities... I also probably should not use these Pets because most of them seem to suck.
A few things:
The most common Necromancer builds revolve entirely on managing conditions. You sometimes even absorb others conditions onto yourself or apply them to yourself, because you have other skills to heal yourself (Consume Condition) or spread them to enemies (Epidemic). You also can use Corrupt Boon to change up to 3 of an enemies buffs into conditions. Your role as this type of Necromancer is support - you won't be bursting down targets and jumping into fights head on. You'll be trying to stay out of harms way while trying to maximize condition uptime on the most amount of enemies possible. In other words, you are not a spam-happy player - and you have to be a cautious tactical player to play it well. (Given, Necro is a lot more fun in PvP and its abilities are far more applicable there than PvE. I mainly PvP on my Necro anyways.)
Try a different class. Especially if you refuse to play PvP and only want PvE. You already paid for the game, you might as welll put a little more time into casually trying out other characters.

I couldn't tell if we were getting levelled by his outrage at the satire. I mean... I know some americans sue for dumb shit, but this reeks of satire. I don't see any chance whatsoever of it being genuine. And to be had, I lol'd multiple times reading it. Don't take everything so seriously man... geez.

Alright maybe I was mistaken. I'm not really convinced because who is the writer mocking ? The players who could use such a name or the fact that they were banned ? My problem was that he could publish it on a gaming website, as if our image wasn't bad enough. If it's indeed trolling, it has gone way too far.
But if you deem it not good enough to be posted here, I apologize.
PS : I didn't find it on reddit, a friend linked it to me maybe with the now-clear intention of annoying me.

so i've been doing mostly spvp and casually leveling with my girlfriend. I really like the game at the pace and setting im playing now. I generally hardcore every game so it's been nice to have GW2 to 'take it easy' with. Though after reading so many reviews of the dungeons and the way the game plays with no 'holy trinity' it doesn't seem like I have much to look forward. I've yet to hear any positivity towards doing the dungeons and the mechanics required to complete them. It seems mostly just everyone must spec to toughness/vit and get full support abilities. Dungeons don't seem so good with the playstyle required + the lack of automated group making. Anyone have some counter points to everything I've been reading?

Most of the complaining has been rooted in the fact that they think it is too hard. I find them fun and refreshing compared to old school "holy trinity" dungeons. Personally I like action-y type combat, where you are watching the enemies and their animations to dodge, positioning, etc. instead of staring at aggro meters, or red bars to heal when they go down, or DPS meters, or whatever other arbitrary invention. A lot of the boss mechanics are kind of funny/quirky too (I highly suggest not to look online and spoil them, it takes away the fun of discovery), and again not arbitrary things like beating enrage timers, gear checks, etc.
My guildies have been doing all the dungeons on story mode and a couple on explorable mode (these are like "hard mode" after you finsh the dungeon once, with 3 different versions for each dungeon) and we finish them no problem and we just go into them with our solo pve builds (e.g. builds with 0 toughness/vit) with pretty bad gear. We might switch a few of our utilities around to be a little more group-oriented but I don't see that as a negative, that is just being a good teammate.
Now if you're pug'ing these dungeons then you might run into issues due to lack of coordination, players who don't listen or know what they are doing or how to play or whatever, but that isn't the game's fault. You don't want to balance dungeons based on the lowest common denominator.
The only gripe I have is that you can "rez zerg" bosses, where that if you die you can rez at a waypoint and run back to the boss before he resets if one party member is still alive. IMO it should lock you out of the encounter if you rez outside the boss room.

The game is 1 week old and the classes are not yet fully understood (particularly the specs). I was running around Ashford with my mesmer earlier today and I got mauled by almost every veteran even though I was 3 levels ahead. Understanding the gameplay is way more important. It's the same in GW1, I died numerous times this week because I couldn't manage to aggro properly.

After playing a ton of WvW i have noticed a few things maybe someone can answer.
When storming castle I notice 2 classes that run out into our Zerg often.
Looks like a warrior type class with a great sword doing some spinning sword move is this move invincible?
I think the other is a thief doing the same type of move spinning around with 2 daggers. Also using some sort of leap ability to get away. I haven't done much sPvP so right now I am still unfamiliar with some of the other classes.
Also any tips on dealing with mesmers?

The warrior most likely did a whirlwind (spin around and do dmg) while popping Endure Pain (slot skill dont take dmg for 5 sec)
dno about the thief shenanigans tho

Did the jumping puzzle in Eternal Battlegrounds and i wonder if i can only loot the chest 1 time or is is able to repeat the puzzle (with reward) ?

what's the point of leveling if you can PvP as 80 whenever you want? just for fun?

Most of the other jumping puzzles that I've done have a 30 minute repeat timer, so I don't see why that one would be different.

The thiefs are either spamming heartstrike (which doesn't make them invincible) or the aeriel move which they can only do three times (does make you invincible while in animation). The leap is a utility. I play a thief and I'll run to the front of groups just to steal on people or scorpion wire them back into the zerg.

Because levels matter in wvwvw. Not much but you don't get all your skills unlocked and obviously 80 gear is better than anything below it. Just going from 20 to 35 i've already doubled my damage in wvwvw.

The thief probably spammed Death Blossom twice then use Shadowstep to get away

Which would be a poor choice. Heart Strike spam gets you way farther, can only do 2 Death Blossoms before running out of intiative and you can do at least 5-6 Heart Strikes before running out. Hell doing 2 shadowsteps using the bow gets you farther.
