Only exception is gamer title because it's event only. All the reputation titles can be finished so quickly on double pts weekends and same for alliance titles if you have a good FF team. If you already did all the HM stuff anyway you'll be close to max on them. Farming UW/DoA to buy 10k keys/picks could take a while but honestly once you find a farming team you can clear even the biggest hassle of titles easily in this game. Only ZKeys and PvP titles are really that time consuming. | ||

I guess I was just wondering if anyone had plans to start a guild up or if one should be started for people who cannot get into Team Legacy due to applications being closed or lack of hardcore pvp background? | ||

Much appreciated ![]() I would suggest not trying to get 80 asap, the game doesnt start at the max level as other games but rather at level 1. Getting to endgame won't get you a big advantage over others and you can pvp right away since you get scaled to 80. Mesmer is definitely one of the most fun classes in game, once it gets buffed/fixed a bit it will be one of the most popular. ![]() | ||

Much appreciated ![]() Well for one don't rush to 80. The game doesn't start at 80 it starts at 1. Enjoy the ride bro. You can level 1-80 through professions, exploration, events and the like. I hate using this phrase, but it really isn't like other games these days in that regard. You should try to enjoy the leveling process, not rush. Now for opening tips. I wouldn't really recommend Mesmer for a new player. It's a confusing class. It has very little DPS in most regards and is mostly a condition (debuff) stacker and boon (buff) stacker. You really need some competent people around you for them to really shine in my experience. Engineer is definitely the most underplayed and also the most versatile. It's quite literally proficient in all, but master in none. You got turret builds, grenade builds, elixir builds, gun builds, and so on and so forth. It's fucking crazy and a blast to play. I would definitely recommend that one for sure. If you enjoy being overwhelmed with shit to use, that's the one to go. Now I know it's an old video, and some of it is even outdated, but give this a good glance over. Goes over some of the absolute most basic game aspects. Once you're done with that, check out this playlist. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=ELTi5WeO992Uo&feature=plcp Keep in mind, in reference to the reddit post posted a couple dozen pages back (would gladly go dig it up for you if you wish), that Hearts phase out of gameplay pretty fast. Much like GW1, levels 1-20 are really introductory. Hearts (which are basically points where you do shit for people in the general area, quests that you pick up automatically and let you buy gear with Karma after you complete it) really start to phase out for more dynamic events. Which is fun as fuck. Just dont try to burn through teh game, is all I can say. Go exploring a bit, go do some hearts and events, go do some personal story, craft a bit. You will enjoy your experience that much more that way. EDIT: And I want to say, events really get wacky. It's not "defend this point" forever. I dont want to give much away, but yeah. It gets pretty fucking interesting to say the least. | ||

I mean I'll probably be leveling pretty fast, but thats because everything gives legit XP and I'll probably bounce around doing some of this and that between PvPing, but I'm in no rush to get to 80 as some magical holy grail with this game. It seems mobs have been toned down since BWE1 when they'd just facerape with little to no warning. Even so mobs can actually 1 shot you, so pay attention and learn to dodge. The combat is going to be different than your standard MMO, it'll take some getting used to and IMO be a nightmare to master. So my advice is don't go into it with your standard MMO derp face watch TV while mashing 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,2 mindset or you'll be dead. Also just have fun with it. It's not like recent MMOs where you're forced into doing stuff you don't really want to do because you NEED to for X. I only played in BWE1 (been waiting patiently for release since then) and I remember it being a bit annoying to level up fastish and had to redo quests to level up. If it has increased that will be awesome :D | ||

If it has increased that will be awesome :D The starting areas in BWE3 felt pretty easy, and I think other people have said the same thing as well. Some people say too easy, since you could get away with button mashing and not dodging and still progress respectively, but stuff got way harder soon after level 20. Apparently, BWE3's difficulty was supposed to be as hard as BWE2's difficulty, but a bug made it a bit easier than intended. There was a Reddit post about this. BWE2 was supposedly easier than BWE1 and was their intended target for difficulty, but I didn't play that weekend so I don't have any experience. | ||
