From what I understood Roland's Crusader with shield bash and Drakon's Lesson is #1 single target DPS now. He already has a bash rune with 1320% weapon damage (plus 500% shield Block Chance), then there's +200% damage from drakon's, +500% damage from roland's (multiplicative!) and a 150% attack speed bonus from full stacks of roland's other buff. I think this goes way over what DH has to offer.

Rolands is indeed amazing at single target, but they seem quite squishy from posts on reddit and mannercookie videos. though that's more for softcore gr50+ pushes. I'll never get close to GR50 in hardcore seasonal so a Rolands crusader might indeed be something nice to compliment my barb teammate.
an additional benefit would be 2x str classes, so chances of loot sharing would be much, much higher.

Today is a nice day for ARPG, mega hype.

So what new builds aren't season locked? I'm not interested in playing seasons. Just wondering if there's something I would want to play.

The seasonal items are going to be these: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/13987539061
Here's what each does:
Iceblink (gem) [Seasonal] Your Cold skills now apply Chill effects and your Chill effects now slow enemy movement speed by an additional 5% The additional movement speed reduction is increased by .4% per rank At rank 25 you gain 10% increased chance to critically strike Chilled or Frozen enemies
Mutilation Guard (gem) [Seasonal] Gain 10% melee damage reduction Melee damage reduction is increased by 1% per rank At rank 25 while below 50% life, you may move through enemies unhindered
Bottomless Potion of Amplification [Seasonal] Increases healing from all sources by 20-25% for 5 seconds
Dread Iron (belt) [Seasonal] Ground Stomp causes an Avalanche
Blessed of Haull (belt) [Seasonal] Justice spawns a Blessed Hammer when it hits an enemy
Little Man's Finger (ring) [Seasonal] Gargantuan instead summons three smaller Gargantuans each more powerful than the original
Ranslor's Folly (bracers) [Seasonal] Energy Twister Periodically pulls in enemies within 30 yards
Spirit Guards (bracers) [Seasonal] Your Spirit generators reduce your damage taken by 30-40% for 3 seconds
So as far as builds go this season is the least restricting for new items affecting non-seasonal builds. Energy twister bracers will be best for meteor wiz but that won't break the build just refine it. Monk bracers are cool but won't change a build. Crusader belt is hilariously bad. Not sure about the barb belt. The wd ring is the only one that might actually restrict a build, because that might be integral to the newest pet build.
Any new build you see should work just fine in non-seasons except the wd pet build.

I wouldn't mind not having access to a stat stick but something like the energy twisters bracers I would definitely want to be available. Looks like that and the wd ring might be the only ones I would care about.

Is it just me, or is this game really, really easy?
I haven't played since release, never got past act 1. So I rolled up a barb and literally did not take a point of damage after the intro. I bumped it up to hard about midway through act 1, but it's still absurdly easy.

And once you get geared, all the difficulty is pushing Greater Rifts.
And yes, it's kind of stupid to have like a 20 tutorial for every single character you create, but at least you can get power leveled now.

Keep bumping up the difficulty until you're actually taking damage or having fun, and you're rewarded as well. After 5-10 levels if you haven't gotten a lot of good loot in the mean time, you might have to drop it down. If you get a sick weapon or find a new ability that is working well, you can bring it up.

Hard is absurdly easy. Bump up difficulty if you want a challenge.
