I've always liked a good read, especially after a long day of killing demons, angel defectors, and everything in between. Of course, if it turns out to be a snoozefest I'd pawn them off immediately.

I sold all of mine, made about 10m and I don't regret it. Dedicating 2/3 of a stash page just for crafting mats was just stupid.

Is there a D3 damage calculator that I could use to help me figure out how to go with my item build?
So far my situation is that I found a Cindercoat that rolled vit/dex/companion% and no slots. Im thinking if its worth it to roll the companion% into sentry% for my DH Sentry char. I did a rough estimate in my head and Im losing out on potential 840dex from gems if I dont roll for 3 sockets. Is it pretty obvious what I should go for?

Sentry damage counts as part of the +damage category, which you'll no doubt have somewhere between 60-100% of already, more in groups.

RIP Rift it Forward?
All players will need to have a Rift Fragment in order to enter a Nephalem Rift; however, we’ve reduced the cost for entering a Nephalem Rift down to one Rift Fragment per character to compensate.
edit: anyone know whether PTR play transfers over to your normal characters after PTR closes? i know they did that before, but is it standard?

RIP RIF
lol. Ninja'd.
But seriously. Thats a nice change for running in groups, but sucks for getting shards in a hurry.

Fairly welcome change. I can farm enough fragments in an hour for a week of rifting now.
OWE for monks is changing as well. Probably will end up being a net buff in combination with dex change to 1 armor/pt.
I wasn't going to get allresist on most of my pieces unless I had to anyways, so getting 6 combat stats on my magefist for example is pretty sweet. Assuming you spread resists out evenly(which I plan to do), a secondary resist is worth 60-66 all resist, which is not bad at all. Boots and pants will become an all resist slot, but that's a small price to pay for getting 15k armor and likely upwards of 1k all resist. Monks are going to be pretty freaking tanky.
Also helps with stuff like TGV+andy's being somewhat awkward for OWE.
I'll need to farm new raiment boots/pants and do a ton of element rerolls, and for fire spec I'll need to reroll a lot of pieces to spread out resists, but it shouldn't hurt too badly. zdps won't change because I have all resist on a lot of pieces anyways because laziness, and because I didn't craft str, I'm in perfectly good shape

group play was clearly op compared to solo.

I stopped playing D3 all together til ladder comes out now.
I needed a break honestly. Also, so glad RiFs are gone. Granted I was using it a lot to get my 5piece mara set. But after that I mostly just solo'd rifts.

TL should get a hardcore ladder group going

I don't think this will kill RIF, everyone will have to pay. The benefit to doing RIF was getting fast shards, and the cost was occasionally paying fragments. People can still join games at the RG and get the shards, but it'll cost them a fragment no matter what.
Also, I really didn't play much D2, but the idea of seasons/ladders sounds really fun. Starting from total scratch is way more exciting than starting new characters with all the benefits of having tons of gold/gems/etc. Every good drop matters more!

So RIF takes a small hit, Rifting gets more people? I think that's a net gain. Group play makes it rain legs from my personal, anecdotal, experience. Now if only playing the game didn't put me to sleep =P

I had 2 pieces of extra Maras dropped for me in a Rift run, so I gave them to my friend. He basically can make a geared DH without actually having one leveled up lol.
