They need to introduce meaningful content and meaningful pvp.... what do you mean by "meaningful content?"

I was quite puzzled by his post as well. Perhaps he wasn't familiar with diablo 2 and expected a bigger RPG experience. There were many reasons that have been discussed ad naseum as to why d2 seems to have better longevity but at the end of the day both games were destined for tons and tons of repetition. Me thinks this guy is playing the wrong game/genre.

I mean something you can work towards, even grind towards. Something aesthetic or moderately difficult. And no, a mf cap designed to phase out the broken mf mechanic isn't that. Something certain to happen with my char if I do certain stuff. Even farming the idiot keys is still lottery and the reward is a circular joke.
My character even looks like a retard. I play a wiz and I'm supposed to get the warlock set? That's nice design.
I look like Shaco running around with a 2-handed Skorn.
A mage with a battleaxe? Wtf? If they let me grind out a normal, useful set I can actually repaint because the base colors are a seizure, a set that will do stuff for my class and won't make me cringe at the login screen, I'm back on board.

you're grinding for 3/2/1/1 stats and a portrait. what more could you possibly want!

WD, DH, Barb and Monk all have sets that are functional, why not wizards? chantodos is also not a full functional set.
that being said, my wizard is cute with her white armor (zunimassas set).

I'm not particularly in love with Inna's. It's such a glass cannon-y set (well suited for pre-MP I guess). But it's 2-piece is very useful and pants + helm aren't going to kill your survivability so it is a useable set at least.
It's weird / annoying that Monks end up using 2-piece Nat's; I imagine 2-piece Inna's works very well for DH's too. I guess that's just how it goes when what stats a class want all revolve around main-stat + the same mix of crit/attack speed/ect. Since all Wizards love 2-piece Zunis too.

I agree they really need to change the set bonuses for talrasha. Or make chatandos a full set. A wizards set should atleast give apoc bonus somewhere and talrashas needs to give boost to arcane skills seeing as that is half of the spells.

So err, like I mentioned, I just returned playing after 3 months of absence and well... I've killed different keywardens now at MP5 and 5 NV >25 times and gotten nothing... am I missing something or what, I can't be that unlucky otherwise can I? :o

In theory you can be that unlucky
You mention that you have a 5-stack, are you sure (I know, lame question)? Are you playing on Inferno (still lame question)?
Probability is: 0.00000002 or 0.000002% that you after 25 tries should have gotten 0 or less keys.

It's a flip of a coin each time at MP5. Are you doing it in Inferno difficulty? Just keep hitting them until you get what you need or try and find an MP7-8 group that you can join for better chances and faster killing and locating of the Wardens.

I just killed my 13th uber (4 rounds +1) at mp5, got 2 organs so far. feel for you man

ended up getting 3 keys in 5 runs in the end, just took 30-ish runs getting there...
|
for keys, what i do is just throw in the act3 warden when i am doing my alkaizer runs. usually get it about 2/10 times since i do low mp for experience. then, i always do the act1 warden when i am doing ubers on high mp, and usually get it about 7/10 times. then, every once in awhile i get a group together and do act2 runs on high mp and get a key 6-7/10 times. normally, i am low on the act2 keys and have extra act1/3 keys.

Just wondering on what Mp level do you people farm?
Even though it has been weeks since they introduced MP, still can't decide on which one to farm. Don't really care that much about xp, since i already have max mf, and am just a few levels from 100, and not really in a rush. I've been mostly farming in the past on mp1 to mp4 in act 3 alkaizer runs or act2 vault runs, but still unclear if i saw any difference in the number of drops or if it was just RNG, i only think i noticed a distinct difference when doing mp0 or no monster power compared to monster power on, , but it might be only my imagination. I'm using a WD with a bear build and i have about 250k base damage, but i can buff myself to have 500k+ damage, so there is not really a huge difference in my farming speed if i'm doing them on mp1 or mp4, but i still do the run about 2 minutes faster than on mp4. On mp5 and higher i start to ocasinaly run out of mana which slows me down, and my run speed.
Also i've been looking at the mp bonus chart to find an answer. At mp1 i have 400mf with nv + 100 base chance +1% bonus items from trash mobs, and at mp4 i have 475mf with nv + 100 base chance and + 26% bonus items. Since about half of my leg were from white mobs, the +bonus items to white monsters should increase my total leg by half of their bonus percentage. So at mp4 i should get almost 30% more leg but the monsters have 3 times as much hp than at mp1. Which doesn't really sound that good, instead of gettin 10 leg per day you would get 13, but everything takes 3 times a much time to kill. Unless i'm missing something, and the extra mf helps with the affixes? Was just wondering, since i constantly get doubts , exspecialy when i'm on an unlucky streak, thinking that i am doing it wrong. And reading other peoples posts on how many leg they got doesn't help. I always get uneasy looking at the "what my item is worth " thread, and looking at what other people have found, and then remebering that i have been farming for months now almost every day, and never found anything that good. :S
Would really love to hear what other people have found to be the best mp level to farm for them.

killing speed is the most important part because leg drops are so rare anyway so if you clear 3 times faster on lower mp, lower is better. you should run at the mp where you insta kill elites
mf does not help get better affixes at all (you will how ever get more yellow items, which in turns means more affixes in a way)
|
The ideal place for me to farm is mp2, because it offers the best mf at a decent speed. While it certainly is faster to be farming mp1/0 the speed difference does not feel as though the loss of time is massive enough to drop back down. Plus personally I get a little bored just one shotting everything, and like the monsters to feel a little bit more meaty.
MF actually does help you in getting better affixes, for rares,MF causes higher chances of getting a higher prop rares, but most people are after legendaries, and those cannot vary.

The reason some people farm higher MP's is because of KS versus MS.
If you move ultrafast, you don't care about the time between killing packs, because it is really not that big. If you move a little slower, sometimes you want to play on a higher MP so that you don't spend a proportional large amount of your time running around because you oneshot everything, then it is better to take a little more time and have that 25% MF increase. Most barbs also won't play on MP0-2 because they need enemies to survive long enough to get some proc's on them with sprint tornadoes.
The general rule about most people follow when choosing an MP is: "You should only farm on a higher MP than your current if your killspeed doesn't decline." Meaning that if you oneshot stuff on MP2, and on MP3, you should choose MP3 and so on.

so... izual still doesn't drop guaranteed rares with 5 stack NV. hasn't this bug been in the game since release?

It's been this way for quite some time and is not a bug. I believe they changed his loot table when they nerfed breakable drops or around that time. It is sort of vexing, admittedly but it's just another reason on top of many that Act 4 is largely ignored.

does MPX affect legendary drops? I always farm in pub games due to speed clearing and the drops were okay-ish =\
