good writeup explaining all of the problems with melee class right now in inferno. As a barb, I don't feel like spending 50-75mill+ improving my build to clear acts 3&4. Going to start DH tomorrow and try barb again in a few months.

if the 30% melee class damage reduction bonus scaled with the amount of players in the party it would promote more team play and allow them to tank for the team. im a little annoyed how i can only do inferno solo now

2 players is suicide, it's the hardest number. I wouldn't be surprised if he did a lot better solo. 1 > 3 > 4 > 2

Agree with this.

2 players has to deal with the scaling penalties, but also doesn't get the benefits of in-combat ressing.

i dont think it needs to scale because in bigger groups you can cc things more, but i think it should be 40% instead of 30% for all groups

Coop in higher difficulties expects synergetic gameplay. It seems people treat their Monk/Barb to basically be a more durable Templar.

+300% mf ac1 will have equal drop chance to 0% mf act3 for the best items, and considering you can kill things so much faster, i think this could be a step too far. now obviously people can switch to mf gear at the last moment but still.

i like the changes to NV though.

Chest farming is still viable. Hello underbridge. I'm glad I spent a week farming to get there, and it's not going to be nerfed.

leaving chest/vases untouched is a terrible idea as it promotes botting/scripts, at least put those hackers to the test and make them write combat bots


To put it in perspective the current best farming in game requires a less than 1page text script that takes you about 5-6mins to write. A combat bot that had to actively search for elite packs and efficiently kill them would be massive and take botter groups weeks to write and weeks to test/debug and still probably wouldn't be equal to real players.
