all the haters are going to buy the game the release date, im sure, deep in their hearts they are big diablo fans like we ALL are, they just worry that it can not keep up with diablo 1/2 , which i can understand (for me, main reason would be nostalgia and childhood experience)
btw @ the templar : i dont mind if he looks like some wow guy (no idea about wow lol) as long as he/ it looks good :D and it looks good imo, well lets say decent
i just visited the official page... and it gave me hope. They really give good reasoning for what they do and the goals are way set. I belive the crafting, bossfights, story, items, pvp are going to be super amazing. I just wish the witch doctor (what a gay name) would be replaced by the Necromancer in looks and name. They can change his skills but ... i ld just like to keep him. Epic white hair, looked uber cool an armor and his red veil with his undead army around him and bone prisons and ghosts.. ^^
anyway I completly agree with the follower change. I always thought that taking care of that dumb ki bot was really annoying. It's good for solo but in teams its better for the comunication.
The graphics are nothing like D2. Thats the biggest complaint. It's a different style, its not as dark and more wowish. I got 2 lvl 98 hc characters, I've played it for 7 years, I'm whining the fuck out of D3 grapichs and I can't wait to preorder the game.
The graphics are different but they aren't bad. And I don't think there are much "haters" as there are whiners. I guess we'll have to see what the game is AFTER it comes out.

What age do you live in? Buyers now have an option - to download torrent and check it out, and if they don't like it - they don't buy it. It is obvious Blizz wants to attract WoW audience into Diablo, but I smell fiasco there.
Thanks to Blizzard for an amazing Starcraft line, but as far as RPG's go, I'll stick to Bethesda products.
P.S. Yet deeeep inside I, as a huge D2 fan, still have a tiny bit of hope for D3, but... no, it's gone.
D2 was crap compared to D1 when it came to graphic atmosphere. D3 even seems to be crap compared to D2.
WoW graphics are bad, SC2 graphics are bad, and D3 graphics will be bad too.
I dont know whos idea it was that blizz games need to look colorful and childish. Probably someone from the marketing..
I only hope blizz has an enormous success with D3 so that we will get more diablo clones from which one perhaps maybe will be really good.

its not about "graphic sucks!". for all i care i would be happy with d2 like graphics with modern resolutions.
the problem is the the feel ,atmosphere etc the looks generate. D1&2 looked like you are in a evil bad gritty gorey world with destruction and suffering evrywhere. this looks more like some fairytale world where some monsters run around right next to unicorns shitting rainbows.
you could make a 1:1 copy of broodwar but with some weird hellokitty world and despite the great gameplay this would greatly hurt the game-
people are hating on what they see cause they love d1/2 and want a d3 that follows its roots. it obviously has a very different artstyle and that alone gives them all reason to complain.

If you watch some of the early preview videos THERE WAS A RAINBOW! IN DIABLO!!!!

Yea in early videos there was rainbow, but very opaque and I couldnt even see it. And why it shouldnt? It was next to waterfall, it is normal that this happens. You wanted realistic, non cartoonish world, heh? :D Whatever, this was already removed.

Yeah no kidding. Not to mention, it is fairly obvious that they are only really revealing the starting areas. Seeing how the basic story is "the world has been friggen swell for thirty years, and now hell is coming back..." would it not make sense for the world to slowly degrade into that state of total chaos?
You guys forget that when your hero in the first games get there, this nonsense had been going on for a significant period of time. In Diablo 1, the village already decided it was chaos enough to create a militia and get themselves slaughtered in the catacombs. In Diablo 2, all of the first act was already deeply encapsulated within demonic control, the Rogue's had pretty well lost by the time you got there.
When Diablo 3 starts, things aren't quite so hell trauden.... hell look at the reveal trailer ffs. "The world has been cleaned of that blight for twenty years... the shadows of darkness once again begins crawling the lands... the stench of death and despair coming forth through bitter winds.
