and yeah, it's definitely a good game. just a little disappointing.
Blizzard is a business. Of course they are going to try to make money. There are two points that were completely appalling to me. One was that D3 was not worth 60 dollars but 15. That is ridiculous. The other is that he thinks that the game took so long to come out because of the work in fleshing out the RMAH. He completely destroys all of Blizzards employees hard work. The cinematic team especially is amazing. You may not like the CEOs or whoever is in charge but behind every desk are people like me and you who love what they are doing.
Just try to give a little respect. Blizzard is an amazing company and the only reason they are getting so much flak is because they grown much larger. Everyone wants to be the one to topple a giant.

Cool, but I just want Blizzard to learn how to get their networks up-and-running after a patch. Haven't they learned anything from WoW?

Funny how this is the same thing that happened in Diablo II regular version. People are complaining about items. There is so many things that happened in Diablo II regular that happened in Diablo III.
The game is amazing. The game is extremely hard, which is what everybody and there mom wanted. The game is going to be to easy QQQQQQ......Now Diablo III is a lot harder then Diablo II ever was. Your not being feed Legendarys. Guess what LoD Diablo II Unique sucked in the beginning 1.08. There were a few items that were amazing but overall sucked. This is just growing pains of a online game. It will get better just have to either wait or play through it.
In my opinion so far this it is the best even with all the things they will fix. I feel it is better due to the sheer amount of difficulty and playability. The grind for gear, trying to figure out what you need, trying to beat the next act in inferno is fun. The only gripe I have is the story could of been done a little bit better but game play wise it is the best one.

So what's the amount of durability matter (like how is 40 different than 60) if it always takes 10 deaths to break? Two reasons. First, your equipment can take more damage in battle before you need to go repair it (minor point). More importantly, it's meant to act as a gold sink, much like in World of Warcraft. As you get better gear, the durability on your items will increase, but so will the gold cost in repairing those items. It's a system meant to keep inflation down.

Games aren't created in a vacuum.

Yeah I can agree with the sentiment that it's a better post than most on Blizz forums for sure. I have several complaints about the game, but none of them are gamebreakers for me. /shrug, just enjoy the game if you like it, if not, don't play! Too many people think they're "owed" something by Blizzard. (I understand loyal fans should be treated as such, but if a company makes a bad game, they're not out to steal your money or something, lol.)
There's definitely been a fair bit of whining on TL too, but the posts here aren't as dumb, ragey, and irrational as Blizzard forums, for the most part.
Also, I agree it's not a "take 10 years to make" game, but there's a lot more that goes a game that just making the game itself. Besides, people say "well diablo 2 came out 12 years ago, thus, it took 12 years to make this game" which is just not sound logic. Pretty sure the first I heard of D3 was 2008ish? At that point it's just a teaser anyways.

Personally... I would enjoy being able to LAN and just nullify the reliance on third parties and servers entirely unless you specifically choose to use them
But obviously the way of the future is that we will always have not-play-even-singleplayer tuesdays and random disconnects killing our hardcore characters. Good decision.

Yes they have a lot of the experience but haven't made a Diablo game for 12 years. This is a massive task to make a game hard and the item progression amazing. Ensuring the sheer difficulty of the hardest part of the game to require gear and skill to get there. Now that all being said yes they made mistakes...They are Blizzard they will continue to make the game better. If you don't like it then don't have to play it.

So what's the amount of durability matter (like how is 40 different than 60) if it always takes 10 deaths to break? There is usually not much difference, unless you go a long time without dying then some (the low durability ones) might break before others because they'll lose durability slowly from just playing. If you just die a lot (standard in inferno) then it indeed won't matter how much durability they have.
And I just tested, joined a friend on a siegebreaker run (best farming according to him cuz tyreal will kill the elites for u, and he is wizard not a barb), we did the quest, and now I can forever do Siegebreaker runs, or play plain act 3 from the start, without having killed belial. On the one hand I am surprised blizzard let this in, but on the other hand, in D2 I'd always get rushed too, with waypoint sharing, but similar thing. Guess it is part of diablo.

I agree with you. I am just not one of the massive QQ the end of the world has come type. I am a little disappointed in a few things. Overall though I am just happy to have the game in my hands and playing it. I always look at the better side of things though.
