You can also take a look at Sims series, which aren't a great game, yet they're selling like hot buns in the morning. Why is that? The sims is selling good because of the nostalgia and the fact its a very simple game and been around for years.

Jay Wilson says the beta will come out about 6 months before release so we have a while to wait... -Source @5:12 That same interview in part 3 says Diablo 3 might be pay-to-play in certain regions. He was very vague though. He also reconfirms that Diablo 3 PvP will not be "competitively balanced as an Esport". And I totally agree that the cinematics could look much better, especially the wizard one. I liked the first cinematic for the game though with the candles and "I have seen what the darkness hides". I also didn't mind the new demon hunter cinematic. Personally I think shes an awesome new class.

Demo was horrible, if you guy played DH on single player; she can barely kills stuff. overall i did not find a replacement weapon, i had to use the default no stats dual xbow. I think shes missing the variety of weapon that can be used. Monk/barb use can use swords, axe, etc. WD, wizard use 2h staff or 1h staff. DH only gets the dual xbow skills. i LOVEDDD bowazons, it was my first ladder char (lvl 97), but like you said, it looks like bowazon with some tacky grenades. i found the demo horrible as well =[ shes going to have trouble with crowd control as always, i guess the nades will help :S nevertheless, i'm eagerly anticipating this game.

Multi Shot did no damage, my trap seemed to have 0 radius and the mob literally had to walk over it to set it off, and it just felt clunky overall. even the previewed abilities made it seem too much like relying on things like Assassin traps, setting them up then backing up to lure monsters into them, which would be awful when power-running or even in a 4-player game where you just power through the dungeons. i feel like it would be as useless as Witch Doctor in the battle arena too. Monk, Wizard, and Barb were very enjoyable though.

I'm so hyped up for D3 but no way am I paying a subscription fee for a non-MMORPG. Hell, I won't even want to pay a subscription fee for an MMORPG -_-

Hell, I won't even want to pay a subscription fee for an MMORPG -_- they know D3 won't survive with a monthly subscription. they're probably covering their bases in case they decide to have a different model for Latin America like they're doing with SC2 (base client is very cheap, but monthly fee to continue playing online).

I was under the impression that HC characters and regular characters would play in the same realm this time around, like in the original... If that is the case, then having PvP arenas spell the end for HC characters is stupid.

" 4 Player cap, for a game with more than 4 classes announced seems kind of silly. i was playing the demos with a group of 4, and 4 seemed like too much honestly. it was frustrating getting through doorways so we just split up into 2 pairs until we spawned the events/bosses. keep in mind that you get individual loot drops, so when you split up and clear different rooms you have to go back to what the other guys cleared to see your loot. at blizzcon the playtime was limited and the characters were throwaways so i didn't care too much about drops, but in a real game it would not be fun to play in a game with 8 people spreading out and then going through the entire empty dungeon just to make sure you didn't miss a Unique.
