I'm pretty sure I won't get any beta invitation but the question is : Am I gonna resist to watch all the streams and see all acts and mobs, places, surprises, builds, stuff and spells before I even had the chance to discover it myself ? The temptation is gonna be huge... I don't think I'm strong enough to wait while ignoring all the vods. Anyone in the same spot ? Anyone advices ? I'm in the same boat as you and everyone else. Personally I don't (I do but I don't) want to play the beta, to keep spoilers to a minimum, however I will cheat and let myself check out the classes and their skills. No story, no items, just the super powers I'm gonna get to figure out which class I wan't to play. I'm torn between the barbarian, the wizard and Hujuputu! Boo-gili-Boo-gili-BOO!

Blizzard just added a new fan art of Diablo III, first comment from some guy: "OMG, HOW ABOUT YOU RELEASE THE FUCKING GAME ALREADY? I MEAN COOL PICS N SHIT BRO, COULDN'T CARE LESS, LET'S DO THIS!"

If what you say is true, I would imagine there would be far less issues with releasing content that hasn't been openly tested. World of Warcraft encounters are much, much more delicate than the diablo encounters i'm expecting. Well, Diablo 2's beta was only act 1 as well. The game had problems because some classes scaled too well in later acts and difficulties. Necromancers and barbarians were insanely good during the first month or so. Games like this don't need even WoW-type balance but the characters shouldn't be too far apart either.

I was more referring to the "buggy" aspect rather than some characters having an easier time with content. However, what you say is certainly true!

Don't worry unless D3 has a subscription (or big e-sports) you won't get quite as much dedication after the first 3-6 months.

I think Blizzard learned that giving exponential scale to some classes and linear to others is bad by now.

I know theres going to be areas inside Blizz HQ that I can't record, but I'll get everything I can. Look forward to video of the trip, Blizz, Interviews, and a whole bunch of D3 info next Monday. there are places you shouldn't record but it would be understandable if you accidentally left your camera on if you know what i mean.

The one thing that worries me most, was the prevalence of botting in D2. It simply ruined the game, from over inflation of huge ticket items, to players abusing the simplistic map layouts to run exp farms and bots spamming item sites in public games. Has D3 made any statements how Bnet 2.0 will try to thwart the thing that killed d2? Guilty ! The thing that pushed me into botting was discovering the d2jsp forums. What items did i see and how much wealth some people gathered. Knowing that duping is out there and seeing people with 100k fg made my mf runs seem pointless. Of course that came after several years of playing. Needless to say after running 8 bots with 2 cdkeys each at the same time for ~8 every night i got myslef 20k fg + all the perfect equip possible ( except those crazy bugged items wich usually dissapeared the momoment you try to use them ). I hope that D3 will remain free of dupes/bots for as long as possible. It takes the thrill out of finding a new unique item or a high rune when you know you could wake up every morning with two full mule chars of top notch items ![]()

I miss playing Auction House.

Has D3 made any statements how Bnet 2.0 will try to thwart the thing that killed d2? 90% sure that D3 will be on B.net 2.0, which will give you only one account per game with, so it'll be a lot more costly to get an old smack from the banhammer.

I got in on the very first wave, so there's always hope for anyone for Diablo 3!
