The thing that pushed me into botting was discovering the d2jsp forums. What items did i see and how much wealth some people gathered. Knowing that duping is out there and seeing people with 100k fg made my mf runs seem pointless. Of course that came after several years of playing. Needless to say after running 8 bots with 2 cdkeys each at the same time for ~8 every night i got myslef 20k fg + all the perfect equip possible ( except those crazy bugged items wich usually dissapeared the momoment you try to use them ).

I hope that D3 will remain free of dupes/bots for as long as possible. It takes the thrill out of finding a new unique item or a high rune when you know you could wake up every morning with two full mule chars of top notch items . Tho i had to admit it is a good feeling. Especially when you rake in the cash from people who buy items for real money.

But the same theme runs throughout. I logged countless hours on every single one of those games. I play a ton of SC2 and watch all the streams.

D3 will not be as good as D2 whether its the fault of game play or my lost of childhood wonder. Yet I will play it...countless hours, through the night, going to work on 2 hours sleep, skipping parties/dinners/gatherings. I will have days where I only eat hot pockets and drink soda. So yes Blizzard, bring it on, you own my gaming soul, I may complain, whine, and demand changes, but I will preorder and camp out for the game and I will play it until you release D4/WC4/SC3 and the cycle continues.

The 3rd quarter reference in the earning's call today was a calendar quarter, meaning that we're aiming to launch the Diablo III beta between July 1st and September 30th. Keep in mind that it's our current goal, and of course that can change as development continues.
