I have not read into the whole rune customization a whole lot other than knowing it gives different effects to your weapons. I think we will see people respeccing based on the area of the game that they are at, i.e. fire runes for an ice area or something. Bring on the beta!

I played Lineage 1 for 10 years... That game is very very grindy (max level can NEVER be reached even lol). It is far cooler then that ![]() http://us.blizzard.com/diablo3/world/systems/runestones.xml

I do not care if its possible to respec, as long as I have to utilize whatever I have skilled to its maximum. I do not care if I reach max level or not, as long as I do not get there on cruise control. I want to fight the monsters, and the monsters to fight me. If the game is like this, I will play hardcore, and I am going to get thrilled for every item that drops because it may help me survive the next room.

I am taking 2 weeks when it first comes out and turning off my phone. I am currently trying to figure out what the best sleep schedule would be so I can maximize my nerd time. I think I could pull an all nighter every 3 days and be perfectly fine but I'm not sure.

As for the respecs...at first I was a little disappointed, but then I realized I don't actually have to respec if I don't want to. I definitely plan to make more than 5 characters and gear them out accordingly with no plans to respec.

Even if there isn't much to gain from a few levels, at least there is always something to work towards other than items. Oh well, maybe I will get over it once I play the game. The only thing I don't agree with is them making everything retardedly easy like they did in WoW...but I still understand why they did it since they make a ton more money by appealing to the masses (mouth breathing retards) rather han the more hardcore players.

WoW can be piss-easy at the same time it can be stupidly hard, gotta remember that during the last expansion some top guilds said The Lich King and Yogg-Saron were the 2 hardest fights ever made in WoW, whilst blizz maintained the 5-man dungeons of that expansion as the easiest ever made. The reason for that disparity is because they decided to add 2 difficulties for the game with regular (easy) and heroic (medium/hard). As SC2 you could choose the difficulty so the campaign could be seriously hard in brutal. The thing is that D3 doesn't actually have a difficulty set (the nightmare/hell are more of a progression thing), so the more they want to appeal to the public, the easier it gets. I don't think they'll make it as accessible as WoW, but it is still something that frighten me a little bit.

No spell of town portal in D2 (why should I have to buy portals all the time); Set items in D2; Waypoints in D2 (make the game too easy); Multiple acts in D2 ("convenient", stupid design); Who the eff are mephisto and baal? Keep the game to "Diablo, it's namesake; etc, etc, etc This was all tongue-in-cheek, if some of you could not tell. I loved Diablo 1, I loved Diablo 2, and I will doubtless love Diablo 3. People think that it should be Diablo 2-2, and don't appreciate that there were MAJOR changes from Diablo 1 to Diablo 2 (skill trees being the major one). These were not small tweeks - and yet, Diablo was still Diablo. Diablo 3 will be retartedly easy? Whatever. Cry about it. Then play diablo 3, and in two years tell me how amazing it is.

Hardcore is what makes it hard and non-hardcore just isn't hard. Period. It simply can't be when characters are designed to be able to wade through hordes of monsters and have laughable death penalties.

God damn this is why I hate playing MMORPGs (not saying Diablo is one, just in general). There's always a couple hard-core people that turn into temporary gods and don't have to sleep, work, or eat and just outlevel the crap out of you.
