Kog just needs his range shortened and he's completely fair. Just sucks having to try to cover 750 range when he's got red buff. Making all the champions the same just makes for a bland game. His range is his specialty. It's pretty bad, I bought SC2 last month and I was all like ya that'll be a good way to waste time while I'm waiting for LoL to get patched and servers to come back up but I find myself constantly thinking about the game while I'm playing and I'm just like wow SC2 sucks, I wanna play league.
It doesn't help that my screenname is Chogath I guess.

Played a game today earlier with a Miss Fortune (both teams had obvi) she dies very easily but has incredible attack.

The base attack range buff a little while back was really big for his laning.

Well the thing about kogmaw now is that you get bloodrazor and start hitting people fot 10% of their max hp. So players begin to stack MR against that to reduce / mitigate it. Then you get your black cleaver and are hitting just as hard with physical.
So he can get by whatever defenses you try and build because unless you are a tank it is extremely difficult to defend against him effectively (whereas most other carries specialize in one form of damage).
I don't think he is OP by any means, just difficult to counter.

From an entertaining/fun playing the game perspective, I find AP Kog to be god tier, so I do wish that had been what got buffed, it's hard rationalizing playing him that way now with BR+some anti squishy build just being so good.

His base attack ranged increased but the range gained by W was decreased so its a wash when he's kicking your ass anyway.
I forgot about the decreased cooldown on W. It only means that he can be less worried about when to actually pop W.
Nothing changed significantly except the people's playstyle and the change from armor pen to attack speed on Q.

I think people have the same problem with kogmaw as they had with heimer. You cant just bum rush him and kill him. You have to play well, get him out of position, or pick to counter him.
I really wish there was a bigger rock paper scissor type champion selection so that we can have more variety in draft mode.

If laning I typically go: Long Sword + hp pot (start doran's Shield instead if soloing) Boots Recurve bow Phage Merc Treads Guardian Angel Madred's Bloodrazors Frozen Mallet Banshee's Veil
If Jungling I typically go: cloth + 5 hp pots madred's razor boots recurve bow merc treads Guardian Angel Madred's Bloodrazor Frozen Mallet Banshee's Veil
They both end up at the same place, but prioritize differently.
I dunno, it's sorta a cop-out coverall build, but it works very well. You end up very difficult to kill and dish out a metric shit ton of damage and are impossible to run from when you get lizard buff.

He will kill melee a champion too without a stun / blind... And he will probally kill most of them anyways because of void ooze, he will just run away. My rant on AD kogmaw, I hated that guy ever since I had a game where we were up 25-6 - their kogmaw had around 3 deaths only. Then he got madreds, so veigar, zil and fucking rammus babysitted him like shit.
Game ended something like 34-15 because we died in 1-2 pushes.

With Kog I like 2 or 3 doran's blades into recurve bow into banshee's veil before I finish bloodrazors and start working towards mallet. I dunno, you have a free better-than-bloodrazor, it's not like you really need to rush it until you have to start keeping up with magic resist.
EDIT: yea, I'm not sure how bad the GA nerf will hurt that build, but it's a place to start. Feel free to replace with an earlier banshees or sunfire or something if you feel uncomfortable with GA.
