theres more to it. when you last-hit, you dont push. meaning nearer to your tower. and that is safer. so to sum up: autoattacking is the definitive sign of the inexperienced player.

Yep but that depends on the situation, if you want to push you have to keep attacking but also time the lasthits in between autoattacks and whatever, or if your lane's getting pushed you might have to semi-autoattack in order to not have your lane pushed too hard by the solo mid or whatever. Normally if you're vs a solo mid who autoattacks, you kinda need to autoattack as well in order to avoid having your mid tower take significant damage.
There's 3 laning modes pretty much:
1. autoattack(never do) 2. autoattack with timing(keep attacking and time the lasthits when you get them, useful if you want to push or if your lane opponent is autoattacking or pushing too hard in some other way) 3. purely lasthitting(use if your tower isn't in danger and you don't want to push)
Then there's also whatever lane control systems you can do but that's pretty much a different thing.

Auto attacking in the lane is situational, I usually autoattack because the ultimate goal is to take the enemy tower, I dont see what disadvantage you would get by being around the enemies tower and putting damage on it aslong as you dont get hit yourself or die stupidly.

Pushing when you're not ready makes you a juicy target for ganks.

Oh btw I never autoattack. Ever. The moment you dodge an ashe arrow by moving around in between attacks that would have hit you and gotten you killed if you had just been autoattacking, you'll realize why.

I autoattack when I get lazy but them's not-good jungling-tank aoe-hulk-smash! habits.

A small question, what am I supposed to expect from Akali and Tyndamere? Mind you I'm not asking you how to deal with them, I mostly play tanks and know their places in my stun priority line, what I'm asking is what are they good at? Especially Akali, what does she do? I have never seen anyone play one as well as to make me say "wow, this is the best character for this situation, no other character could have done this better".
At my level (20s) it's more common to see a generally considered lowest tier Eve do a lot better than Akalis and Tryndameres, at least some teams can't properly manage their oracles and our blue-faced assassin can end the game with a good k/d/a ratio.

Any1 could help a desperate noob on how to play with Kog"Maw? I started playing today and im lvl 6. Thanks in advance!

theres many ways to play kogmaw, if the opponents have a lot of squishys, I like to go AP, 2 doran's ring+boots, tears of goddess, 2 blasting wands, zhonya, archmage
If opponent is tank, go attackspeed with doran's ring, boots, madred's bloodrazor, last whisper, guinsoo, nashor's tooth, you get 4% from bloodrazor, and 6% from your w, with ability power it you get an extra 2%, so thats 12% of opponent's life per hit, not counting base damage, that is 5 hits, with guinsoo stacks, you get 2 hits a second, making opponents die in about 3 seconds (if you factor in dodge and heals and such)

OH MAN, I MUST BE LOSING THESE GAMES BECAUSE OF MY LACK OF INDIVIDUAL SKILL. Yes, that must be it!
![[image loading]](http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/8250/12131415.jpg) EDIT 1: Notice utahime, many minion kills, many champion kills! You should farm alot, it's a good thing to do!
EDIT 2:

From tryndamere you should expect feed.
Akali with rylai's is pretty good at kinda chasing them, she also has quite high burst and with her smoke she's really good if you don't have any detection. She pretty much is a high-burst assassin who can participate in ganks. She really isn't a good teamfighter unless no one has detection, in which case she can just burst squishies down one after another. Rylai makes her a great chaser along with her ulti.

Thx Shikyo, at least now I know what Akali is supposed to do... But more in detail, by chasing do you mean that I would expect her to dive low hp targets and survive? Since you mentioned that she's basically useless in teamfights, what does she have while laning that katarina doesn't? Even AoE spells briefly decloak Akali, frankly I always found her cloak overrated...

tryndamere is a hard carry, also very difficult to play properly, if you are not at the highest elo bracket, in a team fight you just ignor tryndamere, kill everyone else, then cc him to death, and feed off him early game. In higher elos, you'll need to finish the game before tryndamere gets his items, or else he'll 1v5 your team.
Akali is a high burst dps with good chasing abilities, she is able to finish people off and then get away

3 game so far today, someone has gone afk or DC'd and not came back. And one of those games we still would have won if gangplank wasn't such a shitty champion. Shoot gun runaway. In each teamfight he must have done only 1000 damage total.

So why do I talk here like I know something about something despite being only like +31? Well, the losses I have are pretty cool.
![[image loading]](http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/3285/fdsfadsfasfdsa.jpg)
EDIT: so I never went negative in my last 7 games, the worst game was a 4-4-3 loss where I had the best score in my team by far, other scores are 4-1, 18-4, 4-2, 14-0, 11-1, 6-1. I won 3 out of the last 7 games. Fuck yeah. Oh not to mention, I had the highest minion+jungle kills combined in 6 of those 7 games.
It's frustrating as hell to play at the wrong ELO, and why the shit do I always get terrible games where we only win if I go 15-0 in the first 20 minutes? Shouldn't they too be around the same level as my opponents, why is it that my teammates always feed? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

Here's my advice: Try being someone not Veigar and maybe when you've got the most cs and are fed you'll be able to carry your team to victory.

In solo queues, always play a carry that can win if fed. I play Taric in premades and Karthus in solo queue, for instance.
Veiger is just trash at the beginning, so you can't early gank, and even if you DO get stacked, you only kill 1 person. Not good for solo queues, but good on burst premades.
|
The only problem with veigar now is that he's so nerfed that I don't feel compelled to attack him first or at all in a teamfight, which, you know, is bad because he's still got SOME burst >.>

Thanks a lot for your advice, too bad it is absolutely horrendous. Veigar can't carry you say, and you suggest Karthus? Do you know anything about the game, just wondering? Summoner names please so I can go check the win/loss and kill/death ratios?
oh right, and if Veigar can't gank early, how do I gank early with him then? Hacks? In the games I lost, if I played my main, Tryndamere, I wouldn't have been able to do anything at all in the game before losing it since my team loses the game in 15-20 minutes every time unless I absolutely megacarry them.
