In DotA, easymode and AP and SD and such are all way more popular than modes like captain mode or captain draft. Even good players might want to play casually or pick the champion that they like without the chance of him being banned or someone in the opposing team picking him. Oh yeah, and mid-high elo seriously isn't good enough to play competitively in tournaments.

While modes like AR will probably be a lot of fun, I'm looking forward to ranked games and draft mode. Will breath some fresh life into LoL after 8 months of blind pick.

Travis: Sorry if I was sounding like a dick, I was trying to win, and we really needed to play perfectly to pull it off (5v4 -2 inhibs), so I was being really direct. To summarize the points I brought up: Warwick's not (ideally) an initiator, as he simply cannot survive a lot of hits (especially if you build him the way you did) - that's where a true tank shines, as the tank just lumbers in and forces combat engagement, that way the softer attackers (Kat and WW) can get in and hit targets they should be hitting, as opposed to being relegated to hitting "whatever I can." So you need to just wait until Malphite goes in, and THEN ult onto whoever. Number two (and not something I brought up in game) is that WW is pretty variable with item builds. Against squishy teams you can do stuff like heavy damage, but you also need to be aware that as the game goes on, your ult doesn't do much except to move you to a target (especially once you run into teams packing mass Cleanse). So you can't rely on it to "nuke" people to death, especially late-game when the damage you do with one hit (~300) doesn't stack up enough to actually kill someone (~2500+ hp). Particularly against a tanky team like that (3000+ hp and lots of armor/mr) you need to change things up. At higher elos one of the things I see most WWs do is build a Bloodrazor and then stack Sunfires, as this solves his survivability issue, turns him into an initiator, and BR does decent enough damage to keep him a "must-hit" threat. Hope that helps o/ Edit: Also I noticed you complaining about stuns, and looked up the game - you had Boots of Swiftness. Treads > Stuns. You can open Swiftness if you want, but as the game goes on, if you find crowd control to be a problem, sell the Swiftness and buy Treads. http://www.lolbase.net/matches/view/US28302096 There's an interesting double-WW game if you're curious to see what sort of builds I see. I actually uploaded an fpvod of that game to youtube - dunno how useful that'd be because I'm obviously not watching the WW, but if you wanna watch the minimap to see the WW's movement and such then I can re-link it (posted it somewhere in this thread).

Particularly against a tanky team like that (3000+ hp and lots of armor/mr) you need to change things up. For instance, BR stacks, and does damage based on max HP, so if you really wanted more damage it probably would have been better to simply stack BRs in that game. Hope that helps o/ WW is a pretty terribad initiator. You ulti in and it's pretty much a "focus the wolf!" move for the other team. Even worse if the other team has Cleanse but you should hit tab before you ulti, obv. Though when Suppression gets in, WW and Mal ulti's will be a lot better. WW in general is jungle control and secondly a disabler. Know that once you ulti in, you draw a ton of aggro. Play WW as you with Shaco. Skirmish a little, then initiate 2-3 seconds after fights begin. It'll guarantee you a lot more burst damage. Never ulti in first in a 5v5 setting where both teams are near full hp. That's just silly.

Same boat as Shaco. Riot acknowledges Heimer is strong but are unsure about any changes (or they're not openly discussing them yet).

Was trying to explain to him that my hero (Katarina) was basically the same as WW in a late-game teamfight, just stand around, wait for Malph, then hit R and pray lol.
