anyone else getting this weird thing happening at the LoL loading screen where it will say the server is offline, but then i wait like 10-15 seconds and it goes online. it started doing this ~2 patches ago. its not really a problem, but its weird.

Not enough heroes could be banned to make teemo viable. Magic pen + bloodrazor sounds like a good build though. I'd aim for 40% cdr because he's really not useful besides his mushroom and blind.

yea i played teemo for the lulz, but compared to some of the other ranged dpsers he just isnt good enough. ashe has amazing utility as an AOE snare and stun as well as a personal built in snare which is invaluable as a dpser. trist has built in IAS and a good escape. ez just smacks like a truck. bunch more that i havent listed.

teemo just has shrooms which helps with map control but no so much with dps role. and blind which is good for disabling their dps and going 1v1 against a physical dps, but still doesnt help too much with dpsing. so he ends up as kind of a support/dps but not too good at either. unless you want to build AP and be lulz with the shrooms.

Hoping for a balance patch before season 1 starts. Shaco's still pretty redic, Heimer's turret damage grenades need to go, and lots of the lower tier champs could use a boost here and there.

Shaco's fine, Heimer needs to be toned down a bit, and that's about all I care about for balance, with the exception of "the big 3" (Soraka Janna Taric).

To expound on my general feelings regarding certain heroes,
I prefer the game to focus on offense. To an extent I believe Riot wants the same - they don't want 50 minute turtle-fests. Two heroes in particular do or used to promote defensive play - Janna and now Heimer. Somehow Janna has been hurt enough as a whole that while she's still one of the strongest defenders in the game, I don't think she's viable enough "overall" to dominate games anymore. That's why when you see Janna nowadays you don't have the *groan* it's Janna reaction, it's just blah Janna, good thing she's not Soraka. Heimer needs to be toned down because he's a "sit back and wait" hero that does it far too well. I liked the old Heimer - his turrets hurt, but he could be crushed down really fast, requiring massive babysitting. Now, though, the turrets are really strong, and the new Zhonya gives him incredible survivability, along with other things.

On the flip side, I think Soraka's staying power is too strong, which is why Soraka lanes are almost invincible. As I've mentioned before, they need to nerf Infuse's mana return, because without it her heals are actually one of the weaker ones in the game.

Taric's problem is a bit more complex, as he'll be overpowered in some games and underpowered in some - this is directly related to the way he regens mana (by hitting things). Against lanes with a lack of sustained harassment damage, Taric becomes an infinite well of healing, which coupled with the fact that his heal got buffed, is pretty nasty. On the other hand against a lane with enough damage to push him off creeps, he's REALLY REALLY WEAK. I'm not sure what the middle ground is, here.

I think Shaco's OK until I run into that snowballing super player who's completely unstoppable after a few successful early ganks. Just on paper, Shaco's got a blink + stealth, free wards that come with AOE CC, a ranged harrass/slow, and a clone that lets him down towers even with the damage nerf. He has it all.

so I go into a game last night with exstichi and I'm getting water while we're in queue, I come back and it found a quick game and someone else already had taken Pantheon. -_-

so I'm like, aight, time for fortify/revive veigar. no one dodges with 10 secs left, so I'm like... fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine, pick Nunu, and we go into a game with Panth, Nunu, Kennen, KogMaw, and I can't remember our 4th... At loading I see L0CUST and CFang on the other team and I'm just like,

then our panth doesn't even take mid, instead letting kogmaw get worked over by CFang's Heimer. and yadda yadda yadda <moar QQ here>, it just sucks because you can't even punish mistakes vs. Zilean + Olaf + Heimer + Singed + Morgana with our team because we had literally no way to push into even just Singed + Zil if we somehow managed to kill CFang. *sigh* such a sucky game... Exstichi and I even managed to hit level 6 before the solo Morgana on the 1v2 lane. Completely zoned that bitch out. Unfortunately though, L0CUST's Olaf was getting fed elsewhere so when endgame hit, we couldn't do anything against him

. Sucks relying on Slows + Stuns and running into a fed Olaf...

shaco basically went from OP to really good imo, he cant stack starks and aegis anymore, so idunno about his baron sniping since i think it depended prty much on starks, but it does kinda require a good team to coordinate shaco's initial ganks, since he cant really quite do it by himself. I usually do jungle shaco which helps (enemies dont expect me coming once i disappear from a lane), but occasionally when i have teammates that dont pay attention, i sometimes die from it, without getting a kill, which usually leads to me being kinda useless for quite some time.

I've been getting queued against players with like 450+ wins lately while I'm at a measly 200 and feeling completely outclassed in almost every lane. Seems kind of unfair that matchmaking matches me against players with two times (assuming at least a 1:1 W/L ratio) as many games played as I do. It's probably my fault though for buying more characters instead of buying T3 runes since I bought Karthus, Ezreal, and Kog'Maw which all cost 6300. I was under the impression that runes weren't THAT important but people in this thread are saying you never have mana problems with T3 runes and I always have to spend gold on mana regen items with T1 mp5/level runes.

Maybe it's time to start a smurf account?
or maybe it's just free kat week shutting me down at mid every freakin game. I also played a game against Zilean and Kayle so the other team essentially had two more people on their side in teamfights. Eventually ended by suiciding into their team with defile on as Karthus and then popping Zhonya's to buy time and then ulting when I died for my nearby teammates to clean up and kill the nexus..

I'm also starting to really suck with Ez even though the various nerfs didn't do all THAT much to AD Ez.

suck it up and save for runes. having a good set of t3 runes is so much more important than having more characters at your disposal.

Win count doesn't matter. One of the better Ezreals in the game (Swoozee1) was playing "with the big boys" with about 150 wins. Mana regen runes are like god mode, otherwise runes don't really matter. Also Zilean sucks without a heavy tank/dps melee hero.

Honestly, I play against people with 100-400 wins on my smurf a lot, and I'm sitting pretty at level 14, and aside from a 2-3 minute delay on getting up-to-speed (usually negligible at that level of play) the lack of runes really is not a big deal. The only time you really see it is when I'm solo mid vs someone and I lose by 20 hp or get taken down with someone just barely via ignite (happens), and that's when I go damn I wish I had runes and/or masteries.

Yeah, I guess I'll just keep on truckin' and save for T3 runes. Although I kind of want to buy the new champ when he comes out; hoping he's going to cost 3150ip. Had a field day when Kog'Maw came out and nobody knew what to do against him.
At 2100ish ip right now, it's gonna be a long haul.
