If you show up for a ditto mid, I don't care who the champion is, if all other things are equal between a 21/0/9 and a 0/21/9 mastery setup, the defensively specced one is going to win. Defense > Offense early (see doran's shield vs. doran's blade) and I'm very strongly of the opinion that masteries are meant to suppliment 2 things: 1) summoner spells 2) early game and unless you're crit based or getting improved rally, I can't justify more than 9 in offensive masteries ever. I get the 21 point offense mastery on Ashe. Between Cleanse, Ghost, her snares and long attack range, I figure I'd rather be 5% more effective all the time than be 5% more durable, because in the rare occasions where I'm under serious focus fire I explode anyway :p Ashe is somewhat crit based, so it makes some sense, but again, it's for early game where defensive masteries prevent you from exploding. I can't say I ever really feel the 5% bonus, even late game... I know it helps, it's just that you feel masteries more early and defensive are better than offensive then.

I mean, are you fucking serious? i dunno, he sounds like a pretty good panth to me. that's what I'd do in the situation too :p. it's pretty much the only way to stop anivia's wall harass early.

Well yea, that's unfortunately the case solo mid, which is why I don't really grab Ashe if we need a solo mid. I'm way too likely to get ganked and lose my advantage in a flash. Damn you Maknoon.

what you should do when you need a solo mid is grab SmashGizmo, Ashe is a way worse choice mid unless you're vs. a Kennen.

I have seen panth dominate games and a few times I have done it myself. If you snowball into awesome with him they won't have a chance. Hell one game they surrendered after I killed all 5 of them within 5 mins one by one. Im also very good now about not getting himself killed and I don't even use merc treads (though now I do because hell they are useful lol).

Hey just a question. The patch notes said that Panth HS got fixed, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Is it still doing too much damage?

A quick question on runes, I read somewhere to not really bother buying any until lvl 20 and to just save up for the next teir. Is this true? Or as a level 14 summoner am I really getting punished for not having any yet?

There's no standard. With Twitch, it's a matter of getting damage, one way or another. Aznwiseguy (mains Twitch) kinda sucks but he does weird shit like go Bloodrazor/Frozen etc. sometimes. As long as you get your damage somehow, as fast as possible, you're good to go.

now that I have tried a few games with 00/21/09 kennen, it is alot harder to play than utility kennen with shuriken first. Getting destroyed by heimerdingers xd

you can spend like 1-2K on tier 1 runes and you will feel them, but they'll eventually be dead weight as you start to upgrade. if you're not buying champs with IP though, I would recommend Mp5pL seals and glyphs and armor pen Quints and Marks from tier 1 for panth in the meantime.

buy lvl1 runes. unless you know you are really good and just want to rush lvl 30 and play with the big boys.
you arent losing much from buying lvl 1 runes(or not having runes). but you arent gonna buy tier 3 runes very quickly especially if you buy a bunch of champions.

A full tier 1 runeset for a lvl 14 costs about 700-800 ip. Easily worth it.

Ah thanks, the problem for me is really balancing buying new champs versus runes, especially since I run like 3 champs right now, well 2 because Vei isnt free anymore, I need to buy him though because I have the best stats of all my champs with him hah. I realllly want to try Karthus! His abilities look cool and the couple games where I saw him played he did very well and it looks like he handles nice.

It's a question, not a LOL UR CHAR OP NERF PLS. well like, you're assuming it's doing too much because you, like many others, never seem to have actually understood what the bug was. so I guess my answer is simply that I have explained this many times and essentailly what the patch did was stop the abusive corner cases where Pantheon was stacking an unhealthy amount of AD for his level, but if the Pantheon is playing standard solo mid strategy, his HSS is actually stronger than it was before first B, and in most cases remains slightly stronger or about the same throughout the rest of the game until you get in the ballpark of 100 damage from items/elixirs.
I guess what really bugs me about your "question" is that instead of asking, "hey, Panth hits really hard still, did they actually fix his bug?" you said that it doesn't seem to be fixed, which just demonstrates that you didn't know what the bug was, only that it hit really hard. And I've spent a hell of a lot of time explaining the bug and how the patch didn't do a lot to impact Panth's effectiveness, so yea... just bugs me when people still don't seem to get it and bring it up again.
