wait really? i thought the only "ELO" you will be able to see is from doing ranked games. Wait so now that makes me wonder...does the start of the season erase everyone's previous W/L record and ELO? Is there going to be a new ELO for a new type of 'ranked game' separate from 'regular' games? Or is it just going to start and everyone's ELOs will magically appear, and once you hit level 20 every game is 'ranked?'

I played against a 4 team of smurfs the other day...I'm level 17 they were 6 or so. Considering the account is completely independent of one's 'main' account (right?)how DOES the MM system figure it out?

Ranked solo queue - for solo and duo-queue. Elo will be visible, because this is a ladder. Ranked 5-man - for five-man. Elo will be visible, because this is a ladder. All three types are separate from each other, with different ratings. They've implied that your unranked hidden elo may factor into your base starting elo for ranked matches, but nothing definitive as far as I know. You're simply not matched up against level 30 highs yet because of the level differential. By level 10+ you start to be matched against level 30s, etc. At least with my smurf I can pretty much back this up - it didn't take that long for me to start seeing 600-win people, and that's even with me getting bored and screwing around after going like 20-0 to start. The primary method of detecting smurfs is via who the lowbie is premading with, I believe. So if you run in with 4 empty accounts you're not hit with a smurf penalty.

I can see both sides of the argument. It might be funny bashing newbies for a bit, but having to grind 50 games of bashing scrubbies can get pretty boring, hell it only took 20 games for me to get bored out of my mind on my smurf (that's even with me doing stupid stuff like nuking Soraka) and REALLY start f-ing around. I've also gotten bored of a game during the game itself. And it's also not fun for the scrubbies being bashed by a 5-man premade of Elementz etc.

1) Is this a good build for Warwick: -cloth + 3 hp pots to start -madred's razor -berserker greaves -malady -madred's bloodrazer -phantom dancer 2) How do I stay viable late game as Zilean? My bombs do as much as anybody else's normal attacks. All I can do in battles is sit and watch people's HP bars and revive when needed.

He also has a horrible habit of wanting to surrender once we lose an inhibitor or two.

I have experimented with AP stacking on Zilean, however, and doublebombing can be pretty devastating lategame. It's pretty situational though. Mostly the way I see Zilean is a way to boost ganking/levels for your team so you can outlevel/item them earlier on.

I was 20-12 then went on a massive losing streak and now im 36-34 most likely because I started to learn panth and im waaay better with vei/annie then him lol (7-16 with panth)a similar thing happened to me. i was lik 75-60 and went on a MASSIVE losing streak. now im 83-84. but it didnt feel like i hit a barrier. it just felt like i kept getting matched with scrubs against decent opponents. the opponents didnt necessarily get better. i think MM thought i could carry my teammates. too bad i dont really like playing carry-ish chars. im more into kinda semi carries that help in teamfights but can still snowball(like kayle) On June 30 2010 01:20 Crucifix wrote: Any good buildup for Cho'Gath? I found this hero really suiting me, builded as a heavy tank with Angel and some armor stuff :D Still a newbie with builds but I'm reading ~~ look in OP for guide. i just used it, and it definitely creates a dominating character. im not too into the playstyle but w/e.

And if you see Elementz in the upcoming 5-man queue he's PROBABLY going to be tryharding, so if you're a group of 5 level 20 newbies it's not going to be an entertaining game, to say the least.
