I rushed GL and filled out tradition. Well on my way to a culture victory here: ![]() Just one thing that still pisses me off: Korea settled a city just north of Sao Paulo and jacked my pearls. I let our DoF run out, denounced him and then DoW'd him after a couple of turns. I won pretty handily and left him with some shitty city after taking Seoul. Yet, about 100 turns later, everybody still hates me for being a warmonger and my only friend is Ghengis (not that I really give a crap). When will the AI learn to forgive going to war, especially when provoked by filthy city spamming?

Why don't the AI have to do that, but I do? Sometimes I don't want to pass anything...

I finished the game with Brazil (as a crowning victory, the Cristo Redentor was done in Rio on the same turn that I won), and the culture game has been improved from the rather boring "clicking through culture trees" to a really really fun VC. If you manage to make it to lategame in a decent position with Brazil, the UA is fucking broken. So much tourism, lol. Problem of course, is getting there. Pracinhas seem pretty damned useless though. The diplomacy part is not as impressive. The world congress is nice, but it is essentially still the same: buy up all the city states to win the game. As for the theming, if you haven't figured it out yet: all buildings have different requirements. You have to mouseover the + that indicates the theming bonus. Some are really easy, some are really hard (Louvre... wtf).

If like me you suck at having delegates, you won't have to pass much ![]() I think the first and second place (at the moment of proposals) are the one proposing something. When the congress is formed however the player always get second or first.

I think it's pretty linear from Chieftain to Emperor and then there's a tough gap between Emperor and Immortal and Immortal and deity. Oh sorry you mean only BNW... if you can understand Vanilla and GnK, BNW should present no problem... the game became more complex due to having more stuff in it but individually each stuff isn't harder to understand.

Was planning to do a culture win, but realized mid-game it was going to be really tough. Luckily, spies and fast completion of patronage + tons of income from trade routes, allowed me to keep tech parity and pull through a diplomacy win on turn 326 (this is probably relatively late for most folks). I am really liking the new mechanics. I think some of the decisions like spy versus ambassador really improve the game. However, I am thinking that trade routes are probably slightly broken in favor of human players (I didn't realize their full potential in the game, which could have really sped things up). So far, I am really happy with the game!

Btw, how come xcom unit has power of 110 ? In reality, they die from something like 1 shot of laser or plasma gun ^^'

Once you take one city of them they offer you peace my gifting you all their other cities. That is so lame. Just man up and fight stupid bots! Also the "friendship" thing got slightly out of hand. My friends vienna and japan (lol wtf?!), are so happy we have this stupid allince thing that they keep asking me for free resources, fucking fag bots. Also when did japan become a gay flower ass friendly next neighbour kid. This game is nothing like G&K where your "friends" would backstab you at first best possibility. Where the game actually was challenging (even on Kings). In terms of gameplay the game was improved, but atm I feel like going back to G&K for singleplayer games. And before everyone tells me to play on godlike, I am not pro in this game, my brother played this game for the first time ever, etc. we are not the audiance for the hardest difficulty. But the game should also be a challenge for "good " king level players. I think it's straigh up stupid that if you attack a bot with 2 archers 2 catapults they just gift you all their cities right away, what's the fun. fucking losers. yes I mad

Rome launched a sneak attack on me with open border treaty. When they declared war, inside me territory, they were not pushed back away, as if open border treaty was not broken (which sounds weird when you're at war) I did try the same against rome some turns laters, open border, get in, declare war. But then I was pushed away from rome's territory, as if this time, the open border was revoked. Why rome wasn't, why was i expelled ?
