PrimEvalCIV Youtube Game1 + Show Spoiler + He lost because he failed to ally with Spades sooner and invade the larger more powerful continent. He didn't attack with spades thus spades had no chance in the 1v1 and thus cost both of them the game Youtube game 2 + Show Spoiler + When China/Swedes attack Germany he should of pushed hard into Dutch- owned him quickly with his superior force, than pushed into china while swedes fought Germany. China woulda fell quickly and with few troops. Immediate switch into aggressive posture against the winner of swedes/Germany. Trends: He is uncommittal. Never wants to get his own hands dirty, which normally is a good thing (get someone else to fight the battle for you while you sit back in grow) but for him he fails to advance. This is just what I've noticed so far- but I'm a scrub and most of my diplomacy doctrine comes from Axis and Allies and Risk.

The development process basically went as follows: Someone tells me on the forum You ranked Civ X in Tier A, but I think it should be in Tier B because blah blah blah Then I hop on the game and play it on immortal/deity a couple of times and get a feeling of the civ. Sorry I did not keep a "changelog" of things. Maybe I should have, but I am too lazy. Regardless, I am pretty confident that the tier list in the current form fairly accurately captures what people feel about each civ in G&Ks.

Yeah both of those civs lose a lot of their power as the difficulty ramps up. Austria is only strong if one has tons of money, and on immortal or deity, good luck ever having the cash to buy more than maybe one city state. And with the Mayans, the power of great people is just much less meaningful when all of your opponents are outproducing you 5 to 1 lol.

Austria struck me as weird (not because of lack of money, if anything Immortal or Deity has more money to play with because you can keep trade dealing with AI) but because the CS's seem to get crushed so quickly by warlike AI's =\. They're also very bland until the difficult part (the first 120 ish turns) are over.

Similarly the Great Engineer or Prophet are both useful for rushing a Petra or contested wonder to getting a solid religion. They're also very bland until the difficult part (the first 120 ish turns) are over. So the thing about Austria is that on higher difficulties, CS also tech/build a lot faster... so you can easily get a LOT of units well ahead of your tech schedule. With higher gold and better CS, Austria thrives on higher difficulties. It is true that if you neighbour a lot of bullies (Genghis in particular) you might hurt a bit - but Genghis rarely conquer more than 3 CSs in the early game (and if he does, expect him to get quadruple dow'ed and die in a fire soon), so there is always room for Austria to expand to. Also remember that Austria has a UB that is actually fairly strong. Overall, Austria is a great civ because it can expand fairly easily, go to war easily (annex and get free units), and it can grow tall (Coffee House gets GP generation and can be built on hills). Certainly, its early game is far inferior to ones of Mayans and Ethiopia, but it is still an extremely strong and versatile civ. And yes, Mayans are unquestionably one of the best civs in the game, particularly on higher difficulties. Playing the Mayans, Ethiopia, or Arabia on land maps on Deity is basically easy mode.

So England is really strong on Pangaea because longbows are pretty much broken and the extra spy allows you to catch up in science faster after renaissance.

"Ship of the Line" was also a term used in Sid Meier's Pirates. Strongest ship in the game.
