Honestly, I'm pretty sure 95% of people "boycotting" will buy the game eventually. Personally, I just don't want to get burned paying 50 bucks for a game that may very well be 10, 20 bucks in a <6 months. I mean what's the point? It's going to have a lot more content 6 months later. Buy a game with a lot more content for less later, or buy it now for full price? Seems like an easy choice to me.

I have a friend who bought Left 4 Dead day 1 like I did... he preordered Left 4 Dead 2 too, but he hasn't even touched it yet. Personally, it wouldn't surprise me if he's still burned out from the original- we played hundreds of hours only to run into a content wall for like a 5-6 month period. Completely drained the fun. Although that was probably a good thing, because we were playing the game waaaay too much.

This game is epic. Understandable that people don't want to pay the money for it, but it's great. The new weapons are awesome, new places are cool, loads of good ideas.

The game is much more difficult now it's pretty outrageous. There's a timeout on pushing attacks (LT), and there are so few places you can back into and be safe. As well as spitters, jockeys and chargers which are the new infected which fuck you up. Defibrillators to bring people back from the dead. If you are like me and were just waiting for more missions and still aren't burned out of L4D, you have to buy this game! If you are pretty bored of the format, it's no different really.

I'm not sure if the whole "boycott because they didnt give any content for L4D1" is still going on. I think people who bought L4D1 and havent bought the L4D2 just havent bought it because of lack or interest or something (like me(although I'll probably get it after finals)), not because of some sorta moral dilemma.

This game is fucking awesome... I loved the first one but this game is fucking good. I cant beat any campaing on Expert with my friends and trying to do Realism on Expert is the hardest thing ever.

And I didnt even tried to play Versus or Scavenge mode for now ( I am really good on versus of L4D1 but I think that this game is going to be diferent.. lol)
