So there's still hope unless I misread the instructions. | ||

In some maps Spitter is just delicious to play as, use her limited range (which drops the spit straight down after certain distance moved) to become a siege unit in outdoor areas so they can't really reach you etc. fun times. | ||

I've not played and of the PvP modes yet, but seems to me like Infected are going to have an advantage quite often here. Spitters and Jockeys are annoying as it is when the AI controls them. The game is much more difficult now it's pretty outrageous. There's a timeout on pushing attacks (LT), and there are so few places you can back into and be safe. As well as spitters, jockeys and chargers which are the new infected which fuck you up. Defibrillators to bring people back from the dead. If you are like me and were just waiting for more missions and still aren't burned out of L4D, you have to buy this game! If you are pretty bored of the format, it's no different really. | ||

Also, laggy servers on versus mode makes for sad games For those having troubles with ending up in laggy servers (this only works in the pc version)- Try having the lobby leader set the max ping for the server search in console. I believe the command in L4D was mm_dedicated_search_maxping <value> where value was the desired latency. By default it was at 250. It may have changed in L4D2 (currently at work so I cannot verify if this still works). But if it does work, it makes a world of difference. | ||
