Oh god, that website is such a ripoff. They have upwards of 100% markups. You're better off using Yahoo Auctions Japan and a middleman service, that goes for buying stuff from Japan in general. And uh, lemme get all my touhou stuff I'll post some of it in a bit.

Hahaha same exact thing here. When I first started playing stb, I found stage 4 and 5 to be unpassable. Practiced a lot more and over time, I unlocked scene 10. It was hard as fuck, and the only one I could beat was one of komachi's (the one where yellow and silver coins spawn around you and stream towards you). Made it my goal then to unlock extra, I think I needed 2 more to make it to 66. Finally did it (by beating one of Ran's and Meiling's) and was totally overwhelmed by Extra lol. But damn, going through the entire game was fun. Once I unlocked extra, I went back and tried going for higher scores on all my previous shots.

I'm anticipating STB2

really really looking forward to it!!

I have never played a touhou game , but i'm a fan of the music used in it . This is one of my favourite touhou piano arrangement by TAmusic :

I wish there was a sheet music for it , because i would love to learn it on the piano

Yup, I played 5 or 6 hours yesterday.
I really like it so far, there are a lot of very interesting cards, especially in the advanced levels.
I cleared about 50 scenes so far (out of 108 iirc), without too much trouble or practice, and I'm pretty sure I can clear many more before starting to really have some trouble. There are 12 levels+extra (there were 10+extra in StB).
The musics are also as cool as usual. So yeah, good game indeed. ^^

He uploads solely piano arranges and provides sheet music for it when he can. They're not from TAMusic though, but they're still really, really well done.

As for 12.5, I just got it and started playing. It's definitely harder, and some of it is a bit more gimicky

. I really like it though :D

I've played for like two hours and I'm like 25/108 done. Would be going faster if I didn't have a tendency to just run into bullets like mad when I fail an easy one

Edit: Oh yeah, I almost forgot:

There's actually a "Spoiler Level". If you read the manual, it says that you need to clear 3 extra stages or something to get at it. And there's also supposedly a new character called Hatate introduced somewhere in here as well ;o.

Yeah I cleared two extra scenes and noticed that "spoiler" level.
The extra level doesn't seem very hard by the way, except like a couple of cards.
Or I dunno .. To me the game feels globally easier than StB.

I think some of the apparent "ease factor" comes from the ability to turn your camera to different angles, but I think it's harder than StB.

Perhaps the reason why I suck at Touhou comes down to horrible bomb timing

In StB2 I always somehow get to the darkened screen phase and at that instant before the camera goes off, I die. It's so frustrating

Plus my inability to read bullets is causing to me to get stuck at like 35/108 =_=

Is there supposed to be an agonizing "slowdown" whenever a boss unleashes a pretty card in Touhou 7?

I can run the Extra Stage (which at times has even more bullets than bosses) just fine, but I get down to like 40 fps during some bosses.

Nrrrgghhh, how to fix?

Nevermind - turning "slow mode" to off fixes this. I think; I haven't had any instances of being bogged down since turning it off. Why do they even have that feature?

They have that feature so that when you just start out you don't have to be horribly overwhelmed if you so choose.

It's actually a nice way to bridge the gap between Hard/Lunatic difficulties if you need to.

He's the Japan champion in his weight-class, and he recently won the K-1 cosplaying championship too, I think?

On Nico comments were like "oh man it must suck to lose to this guy" but they dooooooooooo which makes it all the more amusing.
