This was the match with the Evo block, random double Roach Warren and the unintentional all in blind counter, right? Not bad indeed
Actually, for me the fact that despite playing great he made some mistakes (which were accurately pointed out by some casters) is the second most optimistic conclusion of HSC V. He was winning using safe and solid style without taking any risks (maybe with the exception of not all-inish 8 pools but Korean dealt very handily with them) and still there is a lot of room for improvement. He isn't reaching the limit of his potential yet.

afaik one of nerchio`s biggest problem is larva inject, dunno if he actually fixed that considering he said about it like more than half year ago
They overreacted there was some moment what Nerchio got like 50 energy on two queens , when holding pressure. But he got only 3 hatch and 3-5 queens .. so energy can by high , one queen per hatch is ok , Nerchio got extra two .
There were many details. For example, in one game idra and seth pointed out he missed some good and standard overlord positions which could improve his scouting. Another time, in games casted by incontrol, he omited crucial burrow upgrade (in general he tends to forget about different upgrades) and a couple of times he just went for pre-designed composition instead of reacting for opponent's tech route, which he didn't scout (like in the game with carriers). Plus his creep spread isn't on highest level. He also has tendency to overagression and has unorthodox ZvZ build order (idra and seth again) which often leaves him ~2 drones behind after similar openings but I think this works surprisingly well for him - early lings give him confidence and fast map control plus they make opponents nervous, while overagression keeps enemies in base, messes up their plans and even if Nerchio looses too many units, he still can count on his excelent defense and from-behind play.
Now, I feel pretty uncomfortable enumerating some minor drawbacks in excellent zerg's play in his own fanclub =) But they were also noticed by his peers and as mentioned above, I am actually very glad he still hasn't reached his limits yet.

Since his favorite dish are pancakes, and his units kinda rolled themselves over the hatch in order to save it, maybe call it "the pancake save"?
Also - Nerchio just showed some extreme good manners in his first game vs White-Ra (Ritmix RSL) - right of the bat one of the casters lagged allowing 4 lings to get past the wall-in. White-Ra's probes were on the spot but he couldn't control them because of the lag, upon noticing that Nerchio moved his troops out.

I remember many months ago I watched Nerchio play a ZvZ (back when it was still mostly just ling/bling) and he had such crazy, CRAZY good ling micro. I was so impressed.
But it looked like he was just a ZvZ specialist, and none of his other matchups really impressed me.
But damn, after beating MC I was impressed. But then... that hatch save. MAN. I really feel like Nerchio could be up there with those elite names like Stephano and Naniwa right now.
