Unfortunately, being a dick is a huge hindrance in the real world. Not to hate, but (e)sports is probably one of the few businesses that allow inviduals to act like Idra has.
Just because he rages in Starcraft games doesn't mean he'll tell his professor in the future to fuck off or letting his future boss Know he's a faggot. It's been said that Greg is actually a calm and chill person in real life
Obviously I have no idea how he acts when not playing and he might be really chill guy. However his recent antics have sort of an antisocial vibe on them. Particularly the Demuslim issue.
Quite honestly, i hated his in game personality, because he stopped producing results. On the second notice i always liked his in game commentary and inside the game related stuff, because you can clearly see, there is another side to idra. I think he should go back to studying or rather, try doing something that he actually loves, not something that frustrates him this much, but got him a good pay. I'm pretty sure the message he wrote, was product of what happened in groups of WCS and that he would take it back if he could.
I want to thank EG for supporting IdrA for almost 3 years, making possible for him to move back to US and stood by him in the times when he did not perform well. I *really* hope they part ways on good terms and did not close any doors for further cooperation - as player, coach, caster or any other.
I also wish the very best for IdrA, trying to move forward with his life, moving to San Francisco, living with his girlfriend and aiming to be more independand and "adult" in many aspects. Of course I hope that he will find a team and continue to stream, *after* he gets some well deserved rest.
IdrA, I will wait for you and continue to support you whatever path you choose.

Good luck to IdrA, I doubt you completely meant what you said but what you said was what you said and here comes the responsibillity.
Respect for being able to have the balls to express yourself completely as you think, less respect for not being able to filter yourself that it really reflects what you think, you're intelligent therefore I don't think it's something you meant as it was a pretty fucking dumb statement to have public on paper.
Keep strong, get good results, everything is more interesting with you being around and especially when you are winning

There are plenty of reasons to be upset because of something IdrA did/does, but I don't think fraternal antics with a teammate is one of them.
It goes beyond that. IdrA basically stopped being DeMuslim's friend after DeMuslim consistently beat him in practice. DeMuslim admitted on his stream that he would have to lose to IdrA on purpose to ease tensions in the house.

He would probably still be subpar foreigner player. His habit of blaming external circumstances for losses instead of his own shortcomings goes long back to his BW days
I felt that EG could've handled it better. A really uninspired post by Alex doesn't seem like a fair send-off for the most iconic EG player ever. As far as I am concerned Idra and InControl was/is EG. I'll remember the Code S matches, the days of 2010/11. I'm sure whatever happens from now on is for the best. Personally I hope to see you keep at it. There's brilliance in your play.
This is the beginning of a new era for eSports. Idra 2013.
This is unbelievable. Came home from my final law school exam, and can't even bring myself to go out and celebrate after seeing this news. I'm so sad. I hope you can push through this IdrA. I'll ride with you until the end of your career no matter where it is. T_T
time to finally start growing up idra, you will never win any tournament again thats for sure, now you dont even have a team. maybe search for a girlfriend finaly, maybe youll stop acting like a bitch!

Good fucking luck!
I totally agree with you, copy-paste declarations of the CEO and not much explained. And I also think that this has been blonw out of proportion, I think that that famous last post of IdrA, he means that he gets paid to treat HIS OPPONENTS badly, OPPONENTS, NOT FANS. That's just my way of seeing it.
Looking forward for an statement by Greg's hand. Good luck buddy, you've been part of my life for a few years, and are the reason I played starcraft for so many years.

It's easy to blame other things.
Well it is the one thing Idra is really world-class at. Applies to his fans too
Seems to me EG took in too many players who don't "get" Idra's dark sense of humor. Oversensitive people like Huk and people like Themuslim who made a lot of fun on his stream bashing and poking Idra and tweeting about how Idra hates everyone.
I actually had to laugh about the post Idra made that got him fired, I never took it seriously. Too bad TL did take it seriously and banned him for it and then EG did too and fired him.
Not saying Idra is a saint, but there is another side to this story too.
If Idra was such an asshole as some picture him, people like JP, tasteless, Artosis, Incontrol wouldn't call him their friend.
