Very much doubt that. I dont see why any Kespa team would want IdrA on their roster. I dont think he has that many korean fans.
On top of that, he doesn't really have what he needs to perform on a Kespa team at this time. He would definitely benefit from that kind of environment and training schedule, but I don't think he is even at the point that he deserves that kind of team based on recent performances.
No matter how it turns out, this is a good point in time to get shit together.... or race change to terran. I wouldn't mind him playing Terran one bit.
He won't race change to Terran. He would have to back up the race imbalance talk and face mockery if he wasn't able to. Also, to the claims that any team would be happy to have him, I disagree. Obviously, it's a matter of taking the good with the bad, and at least one team has found it to not be worth it. I think he would be a fantastic caster though.
Perhaps, but many kespa teams do not have international sponsors, just korean telephone service providers and such.
Im going to remain positive and think that IdrA changing his twitter from EG sc2 progamer to just sc2 progamer means he wishes to stay in sc2.
if they wanted to try to get more international (i know T8 has had sponsor problems) then IdrA is the perfect face to get it
how ironic would it be if Idra wound up joining T8 though
One can hope, I will be the first to admit that I dont know that much about the sponsor situation for kespa/korean teams, but on first glance it does seem like they would not want him.

i dont know much either, but from what ive heard T8 is currently comprised of a bunch of people from other teams who all went under and is currently personally sponsored by KeSPA since they havent found a peronal sponsor for them yet (all the other KeSPA teams have a big corporation that is there personal sponsor) so its not a stretch to say KeSPA would love to get more companies sponsoring there teams
For so many years, Idra was allowed to act in an immature and hostile fashion while EG transferred publicity into sponsor-pleasing. Sadly, Greg's condition progressed in carcinogenic fashion, until the point where he now insults those who call themselves his "fans," and calls them a bunch of fuckers. Now, I met Greg at an MLG in real life, and he seemed like a perfectly friendly fellow. Hopefully he rebounds from this atrocious behavior soon, because his relevance diminishes as we speak.

Someone interested in the notoriety I guess, people aren't exactly lining up for his fragile and inconsistent skills.
I'm just going to quote Incontrol here: "Show some god damn respect". Fragile skills? Excuse me, game 1 against Polt was fucking brilliant. One of the best Terran players in the world who almost beat Life almost lost a game to someone with "fragile and inconsistent skills". On top of that (lol again with the incontrol quotes) who gets the most eyes on them for going about their daily life? If you make a post on TL does it shoot to the top of reddit? If you say 1 thing on stream does it go to the top of reddit? How many tournaments have you casted? He brings attention to everything he does and any team would benefit from having him. Sure he has some issues, but he has the makings of a great player, and he is a real eyecatcher for teams and sponsors.
The day IdrA shows some god damn respect to ANYONE maybe he can get some back.

The fact that at least he's able to accomplish whatever he accomplish in sc2 earns him more respect than anything you have done

He does show respect to players. Their just almost only korean and their names are flash/innovation and probably a few others like jaedong and stuff ^^.
IdrA is my favorite player, and probably one of the main reasons I got into this community and game. I will miss him on EG and I hope he is successful with whatever he chooses to do in the future.

Spot on, & I also met he & Thorzain in Anaheim, but was he referring to his fans in this comment?
A buddy told me this stuff happened via text. He is more of a fan than I am so he was kind of waxing poetic and whatnot, but I basically said "so he flies solo. What else is new." Kind of an odd reaction for a dude who was intent on getting a photo with Thorzain and the man himself and yet was so worried about wasting either of their time that he asked first when they had clearly been doing the same thing for others at MLG, but that was my reaction fwiw.
To idra: Confident you will do fine wherever you go sir, solo or not. Seeing the context of your post, I think I know who you were referring to. They are, actually...
...Constantly preying on someone who gets flame baited 10x more than anyone else in esports for the vicious circle reason that his response can be colorful, always hoping it will become (or be seen as) too colorful. Which is a pathetic waste of lifetime and a jerkass move- even if in response to one, and often it's not. But it is really all about ratings, so, as was pointed out in a very controversial post on Team Liquid Forums, the very people who seek this end are resulting in ad revenue increases- how satisfyingly ironic.
Until now, I guess... Unless the revenue from ads is enough to move on anyway- making it even more satisfyingly ironic?
But in case the statement was not actually misunderstood I have no misgivings with TL or EG or anyone really, even as and probably because I am an ardent fan of all concerned.
I really think few people have actually read the context. I really do. The quoting in the post itself does not contain all the quotes and loses the context of the discussion.
I say to everyone who feels insulted:
Go look in the thread titled something like "the giant eg" and look at page four. Username search "dangermousecatdog", and you'll find it. Is it still directed at you? Then, aren't you exactly what he's describing? You just want to rage at him, rather than watch Ssonlight or solidbails or puck or anyone a lot of people in the community haven't heard of who are very skilled if Idra is not streaming. Or even freaking Jaedong or DRG or MMA or MKP or Flash sometimes will stream as well but no, ragefest over here! Then you whine about "eg curse" and "ppl don't reward skill teams don't focus on skill dis all sheet" ... Are you not what he called you?
