On the release, I will just say that he is another victim of the politically correctness wave is plaguing earth these days.

Where is IdrA's statement about this?

since the release was quiet abrupt (even incontrol, the team captain, was caught by surprise) he is probably thinking about his future path before stating anything.

counter logic gaming _idra

I saw this one coming.. worse results = more rage and lack of motivation!
This could be really good for idra, because this is the only chance he would get to improve his game and himself.
I'm a huge fan but his stream for instance was not fun anymore.. it could clearly see it was a angry guy playing a game instead of a pro trying to practice and improve!
This in my opinion was the best EG could do for him.. It's like stating "Idra wake up! Do you want to keep doing this(being a pro-player)? If you do you have to follow the rules, behave, practice and improve!"
Either way if he does change i can see EG giving him another shot or maybe another team will pick him up.. But in my opinion he has to change..
He either likes the game and wants to be good.. or he doesn't.. and needs to find another job!

Not sure why the incident we are talking about would be big enough to merit a release. I would've assumed that EG would take action similar to how they dealt with Stephano's less-than-classy pedophile comments: a suspension, some kind of apology milked out of Idra, etc. In a month or so, the whole thing might have blown over. Without excusing anything Idra said (and as kind of a repeat offender, I can't say that EG doesn't have some basis for their action), I feel like there's something missing in this story. If we could hear something meaningful from Mr. Fields, that would shed some light on this mess.
Overall though, this is a sad day. The fact that our favorite personality zergs (steven and now greg) don't fit in with the aspiring corporate culture of esports is not an endorsement of this scene. Unless you enjoy interviews with Kespa players, you can see that these crackdowns and exiles on popular players are a bad sign.

you know, the funniest part about all this (if we can consider someone getting fired over nothing funny) is that idra's comment was 100% true, to the letter. when the "community" watches streams, they don't do it to see the best players, they do it for entertainment. idra, whitera, catz, dragon, huk, destiny when he used to play, nearly all your most watched streamers haven't won anything in forever. instead, they bring some type of entertainment. Idra just brings the bm/screw everybody entertainment and plays on the fact that his fans for the most part really are a "bunch of fucks" who enjoy watching a guy rage, whine, and tell people to get cancer or something.
so I just checked twitch. highest watched streamer currently is dragon, at 2500 viewers compared to taeja at 1000 viewers. oh look the guy who titles his broadcast "starcraft2 dragon trollgame" gets more viewers than the guy who titles it "liquidtaeja streaming"
like it or not, idra brings the "community" what they want to see, and every once in awhile he's gotta get fired to do it.

I actually had to laugh about the post Idra made that got him fired, I never took it seriously. Too bad TL did take it seriously and banned him for it and then EG did too and fired him.
Not saying Idra is a saint, but there is another side to this story too.
If Idra was such an asshole as some picture him, people like JP, tasteless, Artosis, Incontrol wouldn't call him their friend.
The world would be so easy and simple if things were only about taking stuff seriously or not and please, TL has its rules. It's time people stop conjecturing about IdrA's personality this much. We know NOTHING about these people. The best we can do is wish the best for them based on the little we were able to see.

It might been seen as a sad day, or it can be the resurrection of getting out of this culture these coorporate bunch of fucks are employing over our heads with korean-like interview where you get the feeling they have to watch every word they are saying.
It might also be stated that you can be a really mannered authentic being like Grubby/Whitera, and it doesn't seem fake. Thing is, not everybody is like this, and we need to expose our shit, not hide it. Everyone wants Idra now to be happy, and wish him the best of luck, because he has exposed his anger where it seems is troubled by it.

Yeah, I agree with you. I think that there is a big difference between being a total dick and behaving like the way you are. I mean, come on. IdrAs behavior isn't normal in any way for a grown up, you can be a direct person and say what you think, but still folllow some rules which are necessary to live together as human beings. I mean, if a clan buddy tries to snipe you, you just don't leave the game like a child who got hurt. You give your best, maybe cheese the f.... out of him.
I just hope that IdrA isn't the same in real life, because if so, he will have a really hard time to get along with work buddies and achieve something besides playing 1v1 in a pc game.

That is absolutely priceless.
EG kicks idra for an out of context comment made when the whole community is literally shitting on him for losing to two of the best koreans in the tournament,
Meanwhile Stephano is bussy smuggling knifes on planes and getting arrested
I hope he keeps playing and proves that he is #1 american player and one of the best foreigners

You make my point in the end of your post
If he was like that in real life, then he wouldn't get along so well with everyone

you must be the dumbest person i've ever seen and you probably live in a cave. What stephano did was a stupid mistake. Idra makes EG look bad by attacking the community which are the ones that make e-sports possible. Second, idra makes the sponsors look bad. And no, the community isn't shitting on him for losing to two of the best koreans (although revival is every thing but good atm) , the community is pissed at how he rages and what an unprofessional douchebag he is.
User was warned for this post

actually idra just attacked the (really really huge and really really) dumb and fucked up part of the community. and if these are the ones that make "esports possible", wow, then i would like to have no esports at all.
