Ohhhhhhhhhh man, I remember waking up at 0300 or some other ungodly hour to watch IdrA play in Guangzhou. That series against Puma was one of the sickest that I've ever seen, but my personal favorite from that series was the game on Shattered. IdrA going ling/bling/muta, Puma splitting the map and IdrA using nydus worms and ultras to break the stalemate was absolutely incredible to watch.
Hope he gets a new team soon and figures out how to deal with whatever is haunting him.

I just want you to think of this for a moment:
When EG recruits players, they are pretty much considered #1 at the time. They are the very best of the foreign scene. Now, where can you go from there? You either stay #1 or you fall off. And people will fall off, always. No one stays #1 forever. The question is just how long they can stay on top.
Look at the people who were on top of the foreign scene with idra at the release of wol. IdrA made it a lot longer than the majority of them, and the same goes for HuK.
TLDR: When you recruit players who are #1, the only way they can go is down.

Unfortunately, being a dick is a huge hindrance in the real world. Not to hate, but (e)sports is probably one of the few businesses that allow inviduals to act like Idra has.
Completely false haha Being a dick gets you soooo far in life actually, it's generally the opposite of what you're saying. Nice guys always finish last. I'm doing great in my job right out of school mostly acting like a dick/cocky/arrogant/whatever you wanna call it. It's the reality of the world, especially in places where you don't have to please self-entitled fans. Idra will do great in whatever he chooses to do next tbh, his motivation and will to improve when he's invested in something is rare.
If you are doing great in your job it's because you are working hard and doing what needs to be done. That's great that you are confident, but your success has nothing to do with being a dick/cocky/arrogant/whatever. Lol, the two aren't exclusive...but good luck acting like a dick.
I'm pretty sure Idra will get picked up somewhere if he still wants to play and can get his mind right...Or switch to LOL (haha JK).
Well, whether or not it does we can disagree on (I agree with you saying it's mostly about hard work/doing well), but the point is it's not a hindrance, which is what people think it will be for idra. If he's motivated and tries hard and succeeds, he can do whatever he wants and (almost lol) act however he wants, which he has been doing up until now tbh.
That's why I'm so thrown off by this. He's always been like this and always said stuff like this and EG never cared until the community decided to stick their noses where they dont' belong. The fact people are actually saying they're "glad" idra got released is a scary thought, considering it has NO direct impact on them if he's on EG or not. They just want to see a man go unemployed for their own selfish reasons and hate.

If you mean in esports ingame, well then take your pick from literally every sport, my favorite comparison is Tennis own John McEnroe (Or maybe Fisher is more appropriate) as I stated before !

Everyone has people they follow in sports, most have a few and some have only one. Just because idra was the one he followed doesn't mean that he ''clearly'' is a person who only enjoys the drama, Idra give a lot to people by playing the game; what they get out of it is differs from person to person. !
Personally Idra was really the only person I followed because he was the only one that brought me excitement til this day. One doesn't really know why, but I was just more invested in his games than others, regardless of BM and drama.
