I stand by my belief that Taecyeon took Jaebeom, he's so heartless!
I will never understand kpop idols who quit because they want a education. What's so great about doing something that everyone does?
Because some people become tired of being a corporate whore, slave to industry and societal standards?
You know what happens after you graduate right? You work 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week for some corporation.

Well that's only true sometimes. There are many more paths that are opened for people with an education. Also, it gives security, as who knows when this Idol thing comes to an end. Fame comes and goes. Lastly, maybe not everyone can stand the fame and the scrutiny that comes with it.

lol where did you get that? Soompi locked their 2PM thread because there was so much arguing. Hmm I can't imagine having sex with Sun Mi since she is too skinny.

The music industry(specifically mainstream) is one of the sleaziest pieces of shit anyone can get themselves into. It doesn't matter where it's located - the Grammy's, Kpop, CMA's, even the Christian industry is corrupt. The only thing labels care about is profit, profit, profit. I know this from first-hand experience, I broke up my previous band because we had an offer from Tooth & Nail and I refused and quit because I wasn't going to become a corporate whore. All Tooth&Nail cared about was turning us into the next Anberlin/Underoath while they roll in the cash, leaving us with a 3 record contract that will ultimately fuck us over in the end. No I don't want to become a back burner band in debt trying to fill out your shitty tour you gave us because you're losing money. No I don't want to conform myself to your standards. No I don't want to give up creative control for money.
D.I.Y. or Die.
Well that's one way to look at music. I see it as entertainment, so whatever I enjoy is whatever I will listen to.
Pop music = entertainment for the majority of the people. All this corporate whore stuff, *shrug*, that's between the musicians/performers and their labels.

Is this what theyve been telling you in school? Getting a job in your field of study right after graduating is not that easy. With gay experience barriers and requirements for certification and other credentials its really not that simple. Probably 50% maybe more depending on the program you graduate from end up taking jobs they are over qualified for or even not related to their field of study. Ive worked with 40 year old computer engineers in burger king before. Having said all that the economy aint doing to good these days where your lucky to even find a job period. I also have this doomsday economics teacher who keeps warning us on a weekly basis that we will head back to the stone age once our oil reserves run out.

I'm just saying that successful students end up in these 40 hour/week jobs. Your argument supports what I'm trying to say. Why would kpop stars retire for a education when getting a education does not even guarantee a good career. I'm wondering how Kim Sunghee's doing. Does she regret quitting Kara?
On the flip side, these pop stars are pulling 20 hr work days and working 7 days a week. Maybe a 40 hr work week is more realistic and far less stressful. Not everyone is cut out for the fame and fortune. I'm surprised Hyunah came back, cuz the reason she left the Wonder Girls was due to health issues.
It does support your argument unintentionally. I was just trying to point out that thinking a degree automatically = a 40 hour work week in a corporation is farfetched from reality.

They work 8 hours a day 40 hours a week for some corporation already. I've read interviews with groups that practiced 12-14 hours a day when a new single drops. SNSD practices a shitload, eats 800 calories a day, and have extremely crappy slave contracts to show for it.
That’s because a large portion of their diet includes calorie free semen. Seriously though there is no way that its that low. Like even a small portion meal has to be at least 500 calories plus they train like u mentioned so they burn easily more then 2k a day, so how would they survive on an intake of 800. Those are just erroneous reports.
