You want to spoil yourself already? The reason I originally looked was because I was getting fed up with season 2 and wanted to know if there was any point to going on. Wait until you start getting bored, IMO. You've got no excuse for season 1.

By the last OVA, are you talking about episodes 3 and 4 of Shana S? I personally thought episode 1 was the only good episode because it was funny. Episode 2 was crap because it was about Wilhelmina + Show Spoiler [Flashback arc] +The only thing interesting about her is that messy "love triangle" (for lack of a better term) with Merihim and that rainbow tomogara guy was certainly interesting.
By the way, there are rumors of an Angel Beats game. I'm sure nobody saw that one coming. -_-

Like I said, you should last through season 1 at the very least. The first introductory arc is good because you get to learn just how messed up the world is. The second arc gets kinda meh, but is still relatively decent (incest lol). Flashback arc is the best arc of the season, IMO, even if they did a pretty bad job of explaining some stuff. The next arc is shit, and the final arc is decent.
By the way, you should learn to hate how generic and useless Kazumi is. I couldn't stand her at all. Now that I think about it, part of the reason why I hate season two might be because there was so much Kazumi in it.

Yeah. I sort of don't know why Kazumi is there except to magnify the already incredibly tsundere Shana....

The Inspectors episode 8 was very good! Huckebeins are now officially in the show! I love this show so much.... This show is delivering on almost EVERYTHING that SRW: OG fans want from an anime.
Episode 8 spoilers:
+ Show Spoiler +Katina and Octo squad got to exist. Ganduro is fucking huge. I knew it was big, just not... THAT big. Valsione and Lune showed up, and stole the show. The scene where she shows up, and they start playing her theme was just great. AM Gunner flew around and shot at stuff. No Huckebein 008L  Lune got her ass handed to her by Mekibos, and then... Ryoto got his crowning moment of awesome. They essentially replaced the Huckebein Mk.III with the EXbein (or Huckebein EX). He went out with the Boxer ( he even selected attacks from a Menu like you do in the games lol), and then linked up with the AM Gunner and made Mekibos retreat. The Exbein is essentially the MkIII without a V-fin, to get the Huckebein into the show. Looks like next episode we get the TLI episode. Masaki was in the preview, so we are going to get the Cybuster soon! And since it is the TLI episode, probably Astelion? And... Trombe? I cannot wait.

I generally don't really care one way or another for voice actors (other than Nobuyuki Hiyama who is greatest voice actor ever), but at least I think of her voice when I think of Tsudere Loli lol

Yep, Shana S. I watched it few months after previous so i didnt remember a shit. But the first scene with music and describing that girls life was great. It was so touching or so i felt.
Yeah, tomogara was lame, but who cares. The last scene when Shana is coming to the town where the first series take place is nicely done too.

In general, I despise that particular loli-tsundere voice; I usually equate it with ear rape, with some tolerance for Shana since she isn't always like that.
Shana S was decent; it was slow paced and lacked action but it was good at building some character. Plus it didn't have Kazumi*, so that's always a plus
*Evil Kazumi is welcome though.

It's definitely a very... distinctive... voice. I'd say it works pretty well for the characters though. Or maybe I just subconsciously equate tsundere loli with her voice now.
Her voice was a surprisingly good fit for Agnese in Index. I guess she could do any type of angry loli character just fine.

The thing is, those episodes were all about how tragic it was that the girl died, and how Shana wasn't some stone cold killer. Normally, that'd be fine, but I already had two whole seasons of JC Staff beating both concepts into my skull.
The last scene confused me to begin with since I didn't know the episodes were taking place before she met Yuji, lol. I blame the first two eps for making the timeframe unclear.

The last scene was cool because of that. Its that feeling "OH, I SEE" ^_^
I saw shakugan S1&S2 long ago so didnt mind these concepts. And know they were better presented.
Rie has good voice, easily distinguishable. Still there are a lot voice actors on same level, even though they arent that famous....

I don't know that she's a particularly good VA per se, she just has a voice that fits a certain archetype and not many others can do it.
Ayahi for instance is probably one of the best VAs in the business.

Just watched Ep8. Solid episode, not as funny as the last one in my opinion. While there is a distinct lack of Kirino in this episode, Kuroneko is getting more and more interesting.
I found the anime plot was a lacking a lot, but the ending scene with Kyousuke and Kuroneko in the train was great. Since I don't know the LN I wonder what's up with Kuroneko's reaction in the end.
No gif material in this episode either.

How you guys got through so many episode of Shakugan no Shana is amazing, I got through up till the end of the flashback arc then just had to stop. Not really my thing I guess. Now im onto Macross Frontier, this is definately awesome  after the disappointment that was Shana.

Macross Frontier, while good overall, definitely gets less good towards the end of the show. However, the best parts of Macross Frontier are those fight scenes. The VF-25s are such sexy mechs, and then they get combined with excellent animation (for the most part).

Same here. I don't really find Shana to be all that interesting. Macross Frontier is better, but not exactly one of my favourites either. May'n is an awesome singer though.
Tsundere refers to a character who is initially cold or hostile, but gradually shows their warm side over time. There are too many examples to list, so if you are still unsure name a few series and I'll tell you which characters can be classified as tsundere.
