It was a really odd sequal. Felt like they just introduced random characters to fill in a quota for content. I really didnt find them to be funny at all. The whole time I was just waiting for the show to focus back on the main characters again.
Overall season 1 was really good, but season 2 felt like a letdown. There was some cute/romantic moments though, but thats pretty much it. =/

It has roughly the same problem as Maria Holic, you can only do so much quirky before you run out of things to be funny with without any actual substance.
Most otome games I've seen allows you to change the main protagonist's name to your liking, But the normal VNs where it's usually a male protagonist doesn't have that.

Never paid attention to that, why would one wish to change the name of the protagonist anyway? In most cases it's voiced so it will not matter. Doesn't bring anything to the experience.

Of course not, but what I was wondering if girls are more into that kind of thing like changing the protagonist's name to your own or what not. I personally prefer the prenamed protagonist better, it's simply better story telling. Crimson Empire for example because they have a name change system they simply don't voice the part where they say your name.

Being able to change the protagonist name gives it sense of personalisation that allows you to connect more emotionally with the game/VN/novel/etc. I think that's pretty important when you want to feel part of the medium of work, no matter how shallow it is. Having that sort of link also makes it easier for suspension of diseblief at times too.

" Yea but if its coming up just as text without the any VA it miffs the impact is their point. SInce his observation is that its seemingly a primarily otome game feature I guess they have what your saying in mind for them.

I am thinking maybe it's because Girls like it more when they are a part of the story rather than reading a story from a 3rd person view.
man, the only two things that make fairy tail good are that its the lightning-fast pacing makes the plot move so it doesnt really get boring and that it's ups are absolutely amazing. between last chapter and this one, fairy tail has been so good lately. this arc is actually pretty awesome for a tournament arc.
There is a fairy tail thread for fairy tail. ADT doesn't really take kindly to your typical "mainstream" fairy tale/naruto/bleach/one piece etc (well basically any series with its own thread on TL they usually would prefer you keep to that thread and away from ADT) series, would just clutter things up and whatnot.
What! Oh no, I think they're...they're coming!! FLY, YOU FOOL!

It's not really "mainstream."
It's that there are a great many people that read the big 3 and the little 4 so they have their own threads.

Nobody cares as long as it's not big 3.
That said, the separate thread probably has better discussion.
Sorry, just scratch that and replace with parenthetical remark >.< (for the reasons all of you guys gave)...that's pretty much what I meant >< Though come to think of it, fairy tail has appeared in here (mostly anime afaik) before, I think, though the fairy tail thread probably has better/more discussion yar.
