The rant was about the name choice and marketing. If Ferrose even read just a little bit of it he would have seen that none of it was about the content of the book, and he states several times that he hasn't read it.

Actually a lot of it is about the book itself. It eventually segues into talking about a few other books and the industry itself, but the author spends the beginning and ending talking about Haganai.
You'd know that if you read it too.

Can't believe it's come to this.
Would it be smart to admit to a girl (actual 3D girl) that you somewhat like, that you play Grief Syndrome and she knows what Puella Magi Madoka Magica is? Would it lower my reputation?

Well, I would think that posters in TL ADT would be more knowledgeable about the otaku/anime factors involved. But I get what you're saying.

I'm kidding, please don't make a girl blog, people on TL are the last people you should be taking girl advice from :D

Oh wait Black Knights Swans....

Persona 4 - EP 7
+ Show Spoiler +Jesus christ, this episode was hilarious. The quips comming from the MC really help disguise the blandness that would befit the self-insertion of ordinary protagonists, for these kinds of adaptions at least. I like the fact they decided to barrel through this part, because Kanji and Naoto are more cliche in terms of archetypes for Persona 4. Sure, the themes of coming to terms about your own insecurity and complexes are great and all, but not really as dramatic as Yukiko and Chie's episodes were, which were more realistic.

I didn't say anything in particular, at least I don't recall saying anything specific here. Just that when I saw pen I figured it was some random bomb, then there was an ion cannon so that pen was obviously a control mechanism for said cannon. I didn't venture out to say what I thought it'd be used for, but with such a common device and plot armor, it was pretty evident that if it gets bought up early on it would be used to unify MC and Gai. If later, it'll kill someone and emo happens.
Meh, GC isn't doing anything wrong really (though pacing is kinda meh), but every step it takes to distinguish it from CG leads it down another, arguably worse, cliche path.

I've given up on Gantz + Show Spoiler +First thing that pissed me off: Everyone but the main character died by like chapter 70. Mangaka builds up characters, and then kills them in the same arc. Why!? Next: Aliens don't look like aliens. The first one did, but the rest were stupid. Especially the statues and unstoppable Buddha thing. Third: Vampire arc disappeared. Those guys were having an all out war with the MC, and then suddenly dropped out of the entire story. The two vampire hostages that were captured and died and reborn? Vanished. At least they're fighting aliens now...ish + Show Spoiler +Manga writer kills off almost the entire cast of gantz because a Bad Ass Motha Fucka!!!^_^ Makes it interesting too. He's also going to bring the vampires back later. + Show Spoiler +Killing off the entire cast in that one arc was fine. The whole point was to drive home how dangerous their situation was, and how anyone including the main characters were fair game. I liked that. Somewhere down the line though, the mangaka switched gears and now the team is practically invincible. They even brought the woman from the Osaka team back. What's up with that. -_-
The vampires disappearing from the manga was just pretty lulzy. They'll be back "later"? Let's not forget that they haven't appeared for the entirety of this arc and that this shit is biweekly. The current arc is gonna take eons. I'll consider it a miracle if they appear within a year.
All in all, I'd say that the mangaka lost track of what he wanted to do with the story, and now its turned into a veritable clusterfuck.

So far I don't have many complaints about GC. It is distinguishing itself enough from Geass for me, but at the same time its also different from other type shows within the same genre due to various similarities with Geass. So I guess that the niche that GC is filling is somewhere inbetween Geass and a "normal" mecha anime.
+ Show Spoiler +Seems like Shu is finally manning up, or at least this episode seems like he is finally going down that path. Which is good, since whiny MCs are annoying. Hopefully he takes the Amuro path rather than the Shinji path.

+ Show Spoiler [GC] +Yeah, I definitely did not like Shu's wimpy and almost apathetic personality.

It's... a realistic romance, meaning that the characters actually respond to situations how they might in real life, which can end up pretty sad and depressing. I, for one, though Sayaka was a great character! But then again I think the same for every other character in the show so.

Standards and standards, really. Combination a ton of commonplace developments doesn't make something stand out unless it is actually going somewhere with the said developments.
and don't worry, sent, they are going back to school. Plenty of time for him to be emo with. They aren't done playing the dumb shoujo love triangle yet either. He won't be Shinji ultimately, but it doesn't mean this won't be annoying as fuck unless you can turn off your brain.

Sayaka is an ok character, though consequence of justice is getting NTR'd dilutes the theme really hard (read: made it a joke). Well, at the very least she is more interesting to me than that failure Homura.
Like michaelEU said quite a few pages back, all of the Madoka characters are closer to cogs of a larger machination than characters, unfortunately so even if it was due to necessity. This ironically leaves Mami as the most interesting character of the series to me other than QB due to the lack of information from the series. The others are for the most part way too flat, and Kyouko is one of the most unfortunate victim of a stereotypical tsundere template in recent times.
