I've not watched the anime for TWGOK, but I hear it's pretty good. It's gotten almost unanimously favorable reviews, and it apparently keeps with the manga.
The plot is like this: Keima (our "hero") is a complete shut in gamer type high schooler who only plays dating sim games. As such, he's known online as the "Capturing God" (capturing meaning getting girls to fall in love with you). He gets roped into helping a devil girl catch run away spirits that are hiding in the hearts of high school girls. To get the spirits out, he has to get them to fall in love with him within a few weeks. And of course, after the "capture", the girls forget everything that happens.
Yeah, it sounds absurd, I know. But it's bloody hilarious watching Keima try to interact with real world girls in the same way that you would girls in games. Each girl's arc is different and interesting as well, and the fact that the girl changes each time keeps it from getting stale.
I don't think GE has an anime. It's worth a read if you like rom-coms, though.

Out of all of the Madoka characters, or out of any anime character ever? Even within just the Madoka universe, she's competing against Homuhomu and Mami which is pretty hard.

At least they're fighting aliens now...ish
